Eighth Grade Class of 2010 presents the

Ninth Annual

RUNNING OF THE WILDCATS 5K Road Race

and One-Mile Fun Run/Walk 

Saturday, October 10, 2009

5K Road Race at 9:00 AM   One-Mile Fun Run 9:30 AM 

Race begins at the Tremont School and passes by way of the Bass Harbor waterfront to the Swan’s Island Ferry Terminal and back again to the school.  Registration is in the school lobby from 7:30-8:45 am.  Tremont School is located on Rte 102 on the southwestern part of Mt. Desert Island.

• Pre-registration is $10 for the 5K (rec. by October 6^th) and $5 for the fun run.
• Race day registration is $12 for the 5K.
• No baby strollers, pets, or headphones/ipods for the 5k Road Race.
• 5k participants must be age 11+ or be accompanied by an adult the entire race.
• There are bathroom facilities available , but no showers.
• Fun Run will be held on the Marsh Road beside the school.
• Race #9 in the Eden Athletics - Jack Russell's Steakhouse Points Series.
• Proceeds from this race will go toward the fundraising efforts for the 8^th grade class trip.
• Special thanks to EDEN ATHLETICS and JACK RUSSELL’S STEAKHOUSE

Awards for top 5k finishers in several categories will be presented.  All fun run participants will get a prize. 

Wildcat race T-Shirts will be given to the first 50 paid 5k registrations received… others as supplies last.  Pre-registration is encouraged!

ENTRY FORM:  I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and am properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting this entry form, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Tremont Consolidated School, Eden Athletics, Jack Russell’s Steakhouse, the Town of Tremont and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.  I understand that during this event I will be using public roadways as a pedestrian, that road vehicles have the right of way, and that caution will be required.
