FYI, we just got a new book in at the store:

Run Less, Run Faster (Runner's World - Bill Pierce, Scott Muir, Ray Moss 2007)

I think some people had been asking about this title. Got ten copies and I bought the first one.

May 8
Is anybody going to this? Has anybody here who may have participated in this race care to comment?

Thx. PB

Just got in ChiRunning which I am currently reading. Am slightly less skeptical since I found out a friend of mine who was a HS XC superstar in the late 80s is a ChiRunning instructor.

Also got the revised version of the classic Jeff Galloway's Book on Running.
The book section is pretty well stocked for the holidays.

I'm also loving Runners World's The Runner's Body.

My Mizuno rep sent this link to me. You shoe geeks may find it interesting.

I'm wondering if anybody has tried any of the running shoes that have built-in metal studs/spikes on them?
I believe Ice Bugs is one brand.
Asics also makes a shoe called the Gel-Arctic which comes with 10 removable track spikes.

or are regular running shoes with Yaktraks working for you?

I asked by wife but I guess there is no ice/snow on the treadmills at the Lab.

Where did you get them?
What do you think of them?
