Dave Farley,'63 & '64 Labor Day winner, was also one of the few to run the 1st one on Memorial Day of '62....in addition to running a 3:46 1500 meters in the U.S. olympic trials of '68 (semi-heats), he was instrumental in helping me with getting a FULL track scholarship to the University Of South Carolina....a piece of history & a great guy.....

Bruce, Is Peter Buniak (Canada) the runner that changed his name to Jerome Drayton ? (Believe he was in the 2:10 range before the '72 Olympics.......The "runner" on the right looks as though just came from the Eliot Lounge in Boston!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome from all of the Eden athletes....My grand parents moved to Manset from Rockland in '58 after their retirement...fantastic place to train...I sold the house in Rockland 3 days before Christmas & moved to Sarasota, Fl.; hooked up w/ a group of runners & am up to 6-8 miles daily on the beach (barefoot) @ Siesta Key....Best to all... Boh

J.C., Had the same weather in '77 as you had today...On the track had a 14:19 3-mile time trial before Hampden 8 1/2 & a 29:36 6 miler (track) after Hampden...Fred Judkins was 2nd that year @ 1:10+-behind & he had run 24:54+- At Patriots Day that year...J.C., Taper for the record next year & smash the hell out of it....It's time!!!! Bruce....You mention Paul Plissey; I believe in '83 @ Regional x-country Championships held in Portland, My son won his Class C title & Paul Plissey literally RAN AWAY with the best time in the Class A section...Did Plissey go to college on a scholarship?...continue to run or ??? Would appreciate any feed back...Was quite a talent...B
