Here is the quickest and most reliable way to properly put one of your own images in a forum post:

    • From your main menu on the upper left of the page click on 'new message'
    • At the very bottom of that next screen, right above the 'preview'/'submit' buttons, click on 'Add inline images to this post' This opens a new window with the 'image assistant'.
    • In the image assistant, click on either 'my images' or any other category from the drop down menu.
    • From the list of images that appear, select the photo you wish to display
    • When the image appears in the preview pane, you may optionally re-caption or re-size it. (To be polite to those with slow web connections, I recommend keeping the default original thumbnail size.)
    • When satisfied, click on 'insert image'. This will insert all the necessary html code into the text field of the new message.
    • From the text field of the new message, COPY this code in its entirety
    • Return to the thread to which you want to post a comment with the photo. Reply as customary and PASTE the html code into the text field of your reply. Then you can safely add text on either side of the code as you like and the thumbnail photo automatically will be 'clickable' to enlarge to the full original photo size.
    • click 'submit' as usual.

    Give it a try.
