cold hands - what's that about?

cold hands cold hands

so in the middle of the afternoon, after salad for lunch, my hands went freezing cold...what's that about. I'm thinking it's metabolism somehow. I went to Morning Glory on the way to Group Power and had a nice bagel. By the end of the class I was warmed up. Oh, I did have a pumpkin cookie and some carrots in the afternoon. oh well, this happens sporadically. I think there's a blood glucose connection, but that's really speculation.

Welcome to my desk, the land

Welcome to my desk, the land of polar bears. At my desk I have a space heater, a fleece, and a blanket. After I run my fingers get white, so white it is like a yucky yellow. I also have lots dizziness/near fainting spells (when I stand up, after a hard race, tri transitions, etc). My non-scientific thinking is that it has to do with low blood pressure and poor circulation.

orthostatic hypotension

is the low blood pressure and consequent dizziness upon standing.

1200 scy

My body felt all stiff and I couldn't loosen up. I got out.

swimming

this morning....fast, faster, and fastest; 50s x 5 for each (last was fastest 25, slow back) Looking forward to Thur morning run.

5.5 miles (track workout)

Warmup, 6 X 800 with 1:30 rest in between, cooldown.

The pace was supposed to be 3:36....I hit that exactly for the first one, and then the other five were between 3:29 and 3:34. It was nice to have CeCelia there to tell me if I was on pace at the quarters. We enjoyed a nice breakfast at Jordan's afterward.

Ginger...I got your message and left you one in return on your cell. We missed you and Shannon out there!

Indoor fun

First weights in a while and a ho hum mill run for a half hour/4 miles. Hopefully I can find that middle ground in which I relax enough to recharge but not so much I become the Pillsbury Doughboy by New Year's.
