Happy Birthday, Bill Paine!
What's your run?
Getting ready to go run 9 w/ Judy.

like 8.6 on the Edenometer?
I ran a double on Wednesday and didn't get it in the log right. Now it's accurate. Too many logs! :P

You must use that great fitness center at UMO. I toured it with my son.
Run- 98 miles (includes two weeks sick) Core moves- 3100 Pushups- 3100
...with Ginger. Saw Mark and Terry out along the way. Great run, great company....and week one of Sugarloaf training in the books!
...who asked me about the marathon read all of your responses. She says they all make sense, and she thanks all of you. She has decided against trying a marathon at this age. Thanks for the help, everyone!
It was very cold at the start, and that ended up cutting short my run, but not like you'd think. I ran with Doug and Terry and Kristin (speedy B.A.A. runner) out to Schooner Head, where K turned around, then the rest of us went to the end of Otter Cliff Road. Doug went on to battle the Tarn headwinds (and later reported that they were horrific), while Terry and I turned around. I ended with 15.5 instead of the hoped-for 18, despite feeling quite good overall toward the end. I didn't add on b/c my arches were blistering and my water bottles froze so solid that I didn't have a hope of hydrating. I'll call that good enough for today.

New web site is up. Check it out.
Note that there are two programs at the camp this year: the high school division and also a new college transition program for high school graduates.
Camp is expected to fill quickly this year. So those interested should register directly.
I am signing Haydn up!!!
With Judy, from the lab around the loop. Out past the tarn, to ocean drive, and back out schooner head road. Saw Jean and Don at the top of the Sand Beach Hill, and I think I spotted Liddy headed out as I was driving home. I was dressed well for the weather, and actually stayed plenty warm.
Training week 3 starts tomorrow!
and note that we went up the Tarn, not down. That's the trick in the winter I think when the winds are out of the N and it's nippy. I was warm and took one layer off, but then I was cold. I ran out of steam coming in on Schooner Head Road...probably cause I did my intervals yesterday instead of 3 days ago. I need to work on my hydration and re-fuel strategies again. Thanks to Ms. D for dragging me in.
spin and run. The pool was engaged for a swim meet.
Thanks for honking MsD., that was a nice lift.
Congrats to all of you on your solid winter training. It must be tough getting in the mileage this time of year.
4.5 inside with Karen and 9.5 outside with Suzanne. Pretty cold but manageable, great company helps!
7/7 double. First run with Brian, second solo. Still in shock how shitty the roads are after only a couple of inches of snow. Almost wish we'd gotten 6 inches so the town would have plowed.
