Good morning Mr. Groundhog!
trainer love for the Chatterbug
Hope your day is simply wonderful!
Marie told me "I met a friend of yours yesterday." [Marie is my friend & coworker who won Turkey Trot this year].
She couldn't remember your name BUT SHE REMEMBERED THE SWEDISH FISH
that is what i told her to tell you
is a xt day. Master's swimming after work. I'm so glad I decided to get back in the pool, I forgot how much I love swimming.
Yesterday, 40min on the mill after work.
Tomorrow, 1/4mi repeats in the morning.
Happy Birthday Jane!!!
...the first 1.5 with Tuesdi, the rest solo. It was cold but manageable.
I was originally going to do 7 today, but cut it short to save a few miles for tomorrow. I'm only allowed 28 miles this week, so I am trying to budget accordingly.
walking, all I had time for
around in Castine. Locals were very chatty on the second loop around.
These little runs are difficult for me but are necessary. I prefer a workout.
Outside and hilly. Then some core exercise, which is badly needed!
About 9 miles total.
Moderate. Mill. Meh.
strength, core, and spin for half and hour.
now were all gonna forget how to write "miles" with these variant spellings. Ogh heck let's just dumb down the DNA and go with the street slank. Did the hampster wheel speed ups and downs followed by an hr on the spinner with a full class of CO2 infested riders.
In the Y pool. I'm so loving having a swim XT day. Are you proud of me, Alyie? :)
1/4mi repeats tomorrow before work. Meh.
Good work.
I have this pain. It's not a new pain but usually goes away quicker than this. Pain in my arch directly below my ankle bone. Very painful after a period of inactivity, gets better with walking, but will hurt at the end of the day if on my feet all day. The classic Plantar Fasciitis pain but not in the heel. Pain will occasionally shoot up the inside of my foot to just in front of my ankle bone if I step on it wrong. That makes me nervous, but once again, have had these symptoms before that self resolved. Stress fracture crosses my mind, but I really have not been running much. I have always associated theses pains with #1, running too much, or #2 worn out shoes. I replaced my shoes and took several days off, but no change. Therefore... I am taking a week off from running. Then re-evaluate.
I hope this resolves for you soon. have you tried the exercise of pulling back on your toes before you get up? always wearing shoes, never barefoot? I have gained flexibility in otherwise rigid ankles through swimming...
That stretch in the morning makes a huge difference. Provided I remember it in my usual morning fog. I want to do the Y tri, so no time like the present to start swimming I guess.
much of it was just easy cruising. Happy Birthday Jane! John, I'm not sure what your foot issue is, but hope it goes away quickly and that someone knows what it is. Sounds like a good case for Dr. Dave.
