What's your run?

7 miles

62 min easy. No run tomorrow, my legs feel quite beaten up.

8 miles (workout)

At the track! Chilly and windy, but wonderful.

Warmup

Cooldown

Goal time for 1000s was 5:00
Actual-
4:58

:)

maybe Suzanne

needs a new goal time. I'm just saying..... Maybe not....we're not supposed to be killing ourselves like we always used to. I know we're both happy for that. Bob knows best:)

1 hr 15ish

Not all of it running but all of it was fantastic. Intended to do 20 minutes but saw a sign for west ridge trail when I was running at Long Pond. Couldn't help it, blew off half the errands I intended to do this morning and ran/hiked up, crabwalked/ran down, and made it back to pick up my daughter at preschool with four minutes to spare. That was just what I needed.

Nice workout Suzanne. I think you were supposed to be closer to your 'goal time' but hey, I bet it felt great to be so far under!

Actually...

...I was trying to slow down a tad since I knew they were a bit too fast. I didn't push it until the last 2 sets. I think it was more a matter of finally getting warm...it was quite chilly and windy and I was trying really hard to stay at goal pace.

Windy speed work...

As you well know, a 1000m is 2 and a half laps - which corner did you start in and did you have a tail wind for the extra half lap?

I ask because wind is very much a factor on the track I usually run on.

Tail Wind Factor

Thanks Anna - I'm headed to the track in Bucksport tomorrow and would very happily like to match Suzanne's 7 X 1000 effort. I hadn't thought about the tail wind factor. Very good idea to consider - thanks for posting.

How to explain?

Out of the first 400 meters, each of the last 100 was directly into the wind. Does that make sense? lol

that is still

better than what we would have gotten from Michele
she would have told us she was going North in the South bound lane and why are there 8 lanes when she only uses one .

5.1M

on the busy streets of Castine.

3

On the mill at the Y after 1000 yds in the pool.

Egregious Yuck!

Was laid up the last two days with a bad case of the Egregious Yuck. I kept seeing everyone posting on and about such a gorgeous day yesterday and was sad not to get out

Today I did 6.2mi in 46:03 outside.

Not as sunny today as yesterday, but definitely better to be out running than doing what I was on Monday and Tuesday.

Ya, Kevin

you shouldn't have any problems rocking it out at the Flattop. Nice run.

7.8?

16 x 400m on the dreadmill at the Y. Suzanne and Shannon helped me out on this one. Whenever I felt overwhelmed at how many I had left, I heard Suzanne's voice saying "Come on girl, you can do one more!" and when I got to 13, I heard Shannon telling me "that's less than a mile left, no problem." Don't worry, I know the voices were only in my head and I wasn't having auditory hallucinations. I'm unsure on the distance as after I was on the mill for an hour, it kept doing this wonky thing and automatically switching to cooldown mode and dropping the speed to 2.4, so I reset it. But I forgot to check the mileage before I did it. Oops.

Tomorrow, I'm going to miss group power as I have a early meeting to go to. So I plan to Zumba tomorrow evening! Anyone else? I think Becky said she'd be there too. Sorry girls about your eardrums :(

Good girl

You rock. :)
