9.45

2 x 4.5 mi loop with a 1/2 mi side track out to Silver Lake.

Still cooler than I'd like but not (as) windy as yesterday.
I've been wearing shorts outside all winter so this feels pretty nice.

4 miles SWH

Recovery run, but probably should have gone even slower. I need to work on that.

diddo 4

Except...I ran in B.H. AND I didn't need to work on going slower, that came easy enough!

Ran long from seal harbor. I

Ran long from seal harbor. I trotted behind Mark, Terri, and Kevin for a while. It was very exciting to see a seal cathing some vitamin D. In French a seal is called a "phoque" and is pronounced like the famous F word. A few years ago we went on Zodiaks in northeast Quebec beluga watching. We saw lots of belugas and lots of phoques. My son Luc thought it was very funny as people would keep saying the word phoque over an over. Too funny.

It was so nice to see Mark waiting in the parking lot and then we saw Liddy riding bike.

4.4M

just too nice to run. took the long walk again with Sarah for the second time this weekend instead.

shouldn't ever

call it until the sun goes down. Went to the Bucksport Track where I ran 5 X 3200. Feeling fantastic!

If...

Your track workouts feel 'fantastic' you're not trying hard enough.

Not to burst the bubble or anything.

Haha ok :) it was a goooood time!

really sounds like it.

Good day at Seal Harbor Beach

As Michele says, we headed out with Terry, Kevin and saw a seal and had fantastic views of Somes Sound. We turned around at 198 and headed back, which is ~18 hilly miles. Kevin made it back in good form for his longest run ever! Terry and I tacked on a couple more, which, though a bit ragged, got us our first 20s of the year. And Michele finished her 20 not long after.

A weekend like this in March is a rare gift. I'm very glad I was able to enjoy it!

Nice long run this morning

Not sure what the final distance was. Something like 17mi. Ran with Mark, and Terry, and Michele from Seal Harbor. Was a fantastic run on a really lovely morning. And I agree, the seal..err..."phoque"... sighting was one of the highlights. I also really enjoyed all of the very nice harbor views. Thanks, guys, for a great run.

Was pretty well spent after that, but I still mustered enough energy for a family walk (maybe 30 minutes) in the park as well.

All in all, a very very good day.

Nada...

But I had a nice walk and hung out on the rocks in the sunshine in Ship's Harbor. We passed Suzanne running on our way through SWH, looking great.

Yesterday I got in 10, w/ a little over 5 of it w/ Shannon. We ran on the schooner head path and the shore path; I think the soft ground tired my legs out a bit. The last 5 miles were tough, particularly running into the wind by the Tarn.

What a gorgeous weekend we had!
