Happy Birthday to Ann Paine and Amanda Dyer!
What's your run?
Sitting here at EMMC. Dad's surgery is due to start at 8am.
got my legs back. Hip exercises and a lot of foam rolling and stretching.
My fingers crossed for your family, Suzanne. xoxo
for me today. Got in a nice run around WHP yesterday afternoon, I saw that white deer w/ the brown spots again, I forgot what those are called. Cool. Another short run planned for tomorrow, it's taper time :)
Suzanne, my thoughts will be with you and your family today, hope your Dad's surgery goes well. (((((((((Suzanne and Family))))))))))
EL again at the crack of dawn. That's 3 days in a row for me. I prob wouldn't have attempted it, but got a massage last night and felt like I could eke out another one, especially because tomorrow I will take the day off. I did walk the last 3/10ths, just a little reward I promised myself at the beginning when I didn't feel so hot! Walking a tiny bit felt good, was pretty tight at the end. Progress! BTW the boulder is gone!
and I wondered if they'd leave it. I kinda liked it!
Rode my bike to work (about 25 minutes) and then spinned for 35 minutes. Did abs at lunch to keep company to Jason who walked 2 miles on the TM.
Did two miles just like you. A victory lap because I finished up the job in Gouldsboro today. Before any rain even fell! : ) 28 minutes yesterday, because that's what Katrina and I had for time before our respective kids got out of school.
Just heard from Suzanne and she had all great news from her dad. Must have been your good wishes guys.
I'm running up Cadillac this Sunday. Want to make it a group run anyone? This is when we normally would have the 10k up the hill... any takers? It's 2 weeks ahead of Sugarloaf, so that gives folks more time and doesn't mess up tapers quite so much as other years.
Thanks Brian. You brightened my day. And happy birthday wishes Amanda!
I will be on the island this weekend and possibly interested.
Start time? Sunrise? :-) Someone to drive down after? (I absolutely will not run downhill that long pavement)
Yeah, what time?
What time works for you guys? I'm happy with anything from 6 to noon for a start time. I can put a truck at the top and bike down to meet people at the Village Green or the Y.
I forgot about Orrington being the day before. In the interest of Not Getting Hurt, I don't dare run on pavement 2 days in a row. I'll have to skip Cadillac.
I'm sorry :-(
finals are finishing up - graduation is this Saturday! Picking up some aluminum nickels out on the run today.
14.5 The schematic figure eight around EL and Jordan Pond from Seal Harbor.
As usual opted to hit the EL hill (twice) on the steeper southern side of the lake rather than the longer western side. For whatever reason I have always found it easier to run shorter steeper hills than longer shallow ones.
Chilly out.
1. You have a cake with a square top and rectangular sides. It is uniformly frosted. How do you cut it into 8 slices such that they all have equal frosting?
2. A pizza has crust all around the edge. How do you cut it into four equal pieces where only two have crusts? [General answer is fine; no need to specify what the radii of the slices are].
... who solve these, there is a more involved one concerning two wine glasses and an olive.
Ran 4 yesterday with leaden legs, so I skipped the run to stay inside and play with fitness equipment today. I think it will help in the long run.
Schooner Head and back with Doug this afternoon. Came at a perfect time of day. I was starting to slow down, brain slow, kinda tired. Run got me going again.
