What's your run?
run: 7.2 mi yoga: 55 min bike: 70 min
It was like fall out there....breezy and chilly. Felt OK but last couple miles my legs were lead. Our site says this is 7.8 miles is that true? For some reason I had in my head it was 7.22 - read that somehwere. Big diff! Rest day tomorrow and I am thankful for that.
40 minute run from my hotel to Lake Michigan. Poring rain, but nice to be out before being inside at meetings the rest of the day.
Feet are feeling good !!!
:)
and I'm sure Michele will be happy I finally posted. I did one hour on the Arc Trainer this AM and will do an easy treadmill walk at lunch 1-2 miles probably.
Welcome to the board Mr. JayMister. Swim workout for me this morning. I am trying to slowly transition back into a 10 workouts/week groove although skipping a swim and a run here and there is all good with me. As long as I do not skip the brick which I did many times last summer.
Rest day for me.
4miles easy yesterday on Bayview.
9 days 'til the Marathon!
Good to have you here Jason. An hour on the Arc Trainer is no joke, nice work.
I'm signed up for the "Dare to Tri" Tri tomorrow. I'm comfortable with the distances, they are short. I'm comfortable with the forcasted rain, actually might make my mountain bike not so bad of a choice considering it's the only bike I have. It's the 7 page letter of instructions to the athletes that makes me nervous. That's a lot of instructions to remember. I'd hate to be DQ'd cause I missed something on page 5;) Anywhoo... swim, bike, run is the plan for tomorrow.
I plan to be there and participate with my skinny tires.
I'll see you there.
8:48 average, which is right around my BQ pace, and about 20 seconds per mile slower than goal pace. I was reading on the couch all morning in a quiet, empty house...so I had to force myself out the door for this run! :)
Jason- Welcome! I am the Eden Membership Director so please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to become a member! *wink, wink* It's great to have you posting.
John and Michele- Good luck tomorrow!
No pressure to formally join of course. You wouldn't be the only poster who isn't a member. In fact, you would be in, um, good company. :D
...thus the winks at the end. :)
That being said, I do welcome any contact from anyone who would like to join or have any questions about joining. The more the merrier.
With Kevin and Terry starting at 6:00 a.m. I was the anchor. Doug started with us, but had to turn around with a bad calf, alas.
A big welcome to Jason and welcome back to Ron! Great to see you both on here today.
in Castine. Group run at noon and an solo run at one.
on the treadmill which is a little more than I was planning on. I should have known better, anytime Michele is there with me I seem to end up doing at least 50% more than I had planned on.
Thanks for the warm welcomes, I do hope to become a regular around here.
As Mark mentioned, the day started off right with tri-lakes at 6:00am. The hills were a bit of a struggle, but it was good to get it out of the way early, and have my afternoon. Resting tomorrow.
I hope Doug's calf loosens up. Ron, glad you are up and running. I'll add my "hello Jason" to the others!
A struggle, this one, after not running much at all this week.
I am pleased that the anterior foot soreness which has been buggering me for the past few weeks was not apparent on this run; less pleased that the rest of me didn't feel as solid as usual.
Ah well - without the tough runs there would be no good runs by comparison.
Another 0.5 mi from striders afterward.
Encountered my first live person of 2010 on the carriage roads today. Pleased that it was another runner - perhaps an Edenite? - out on a long run with water bottles. Also ran into the first tourists of the season - illegally parked winnebago from michigan by the gate house, cameras out. I think I'm in their picture. Not the last people I'll see in the park this summer, I suspect.
....but forecast for Sugarloaf is cloudy and mid 50s!
Is the forecast for May in Maine in general, after all.
Another nice double today. Taper week is almost here.
