run: 7 mi
ride: 53 min trainer

4.25 miles Manset (mini workout)

I was supposed to do 8 min warmup, 4 X 4 min with 2 min recovery, and 8 min cooldown. I cut it short by one. All the four minute pieces felt great, but my calf twinged every so slightly towards the end of the second and third sets. Perhaps I ran them too fast but I felt good. Anyway, I decided to ditch the last one...I am not taking ANY chances at this point. I felt fine on the easy run back home. (7:34, 7:31, 7:32)

I'm READY.

Suzanne

You are so going to ROCK this marathon.

Later...

I've got 4mi in the plan.

Sorry to be redundant, but man I am so nervous. I'm having difficulty concentrating, and I just want to eat. I wish Sunday would hurry up and get here so it would just be over.

Like fall...

...only backwards.

Three weeks ago felt like November - no leaves on the trees, gray sky and raw.
Last week felt like October - dark blue sky, a few birds chirping.
This week feels like September - a brisk enough edge in the wind, only with pale green leaves and pink blossoms all over the carriage roads behind Day Mountain.

I like this trend, Eden. We are all collectively moving in the right direction.

A walk for me this morning.

45 on the arc trainer and a walk/jog session at the track during lunch, no idea on distance. Agree on the weather, things are definitely looking up.

6.8M

Castine. Double Loop Clockwise Run without the biG HIll.

Speed

My VCM goal might be a stretch b/c of my lack of speedwork. But, never say never. Ran 8 x 2:00 with 2:00 float, with the hard intervals at 5k effort and the floats at a little under 8:00 effort. The times were all over the place with the hills and wind, but I think I hit the effort pretty well, with the last 6 between 5:48 and 6:17 pace. 7 miles total.

Eagle lake

Fighting a minor cold, so just a slow, peaceable Eagle lake. Actually felt a lot better -- less sick -- after the run.

5.5 with 3 faster

Nice run at Witch Hole, slow first, then 3 at 9:30 (I know, but fast for me) then finish with short faster segments.
