Alright...

I'm outta here!! On my way up to the 'loaf, way nervous and excited and ready to kick butt. The lovely thing with it being my 1st is I'm guaranteed a PR :)

Looking forward to seeing a lot of friendly faces at the race.

Rock on, Eden.

Yesterday's Children 5-miler: RESULTS

This is it!

We are heading out shortly.

I want to thank you all for your support, both in my running endeavors and personal challenges. I apologize for posting my drama here last night...I had done good all week holding it together but my Dad going to the ER put me over the edge a little.

My head is in the right place. My training has been flawless. My support crew is fabulous. Tomorrow will bring great things. I am ready to kick some ass and get me a Boston bib!

Yeeha!!

Go run strong at Sugarloaf Diane and Suzanne and RK and Tim and Austin and Stan and Mark and everyone I'm not recalling this red hot second. : ) We're all proud of you.

Six miles for me, five lucky ones and a partial sprint to the car to get to Zoe's and Adria's first ever soccer practices this morning. It poured on us but we had fun. Happy with my effort on the run, and am amazed that Peter Beckett ran as smoothly as he did with a 45 second warmup. Is there a science behind that strategy? : )

science

Conservation of energy. And Cytomax. I was pretty winded after the first mile trying to stay near the fast ladies but I recovered nicely and ran a faster second half. That was my fastest race pace to date, ran under 7 min. first mile and last mile so I'm happy. Thanks for noticing Shannon and thanks for the company. DS Trainers in the hiz-zay! I didn't like getting outkicked at the end there so I went for a 28 mi. bike ride incl. Cadillac this evening. Then (more) pizza. Now sleep. Good luck at Sugahloaf tomorrow everyone!!

Mary Ellen Carter

Run with pride, Eden, for you are Downeasters!

Safe travels and a great race to all of you.

Go girl!

Two hour ride for me very early this morning and a kids tri for Eliott in Belfast. It was the Waldo Y's first tri and overall they did a good job on the youth portion. I also have to say that Judson's race seem very well organized. I liked the large visible "Caution. Race in progress sign."

I would agree, for the Adult

I would agree, for the Adult tri anyway. Nice go for the Belfast Y and their first Tri race.
Organized, safe and a good course.

Sorry to miss Cake's race.

Congrats, Dr. Dave -

second overall with a 1:06!

Belfast Tri Results

Also:

Paula L. with a 1:21

[Forgive me if I've missed Dr. Mary's name in the results - I didn't see it?]

Thanks

Like I said nice go there.

Mary didn't race but maybe next year.

Paula told me she's racing Sugarloaf today, whew.

Good Luck Sugarloafers!
