Sunday, May 23: Daily Log

Good luck to those running in the Maine Sports Mayhem 10-k Trail Run! Have a blast!

What's your run today?

Sunday...

The day of rest... and long motorcycle rides.

Eagle Lake...

...with a fun and fabulous crew. I won't name everyone for fear of forgetting somebody.

Karen brought her camera and we all acted like super models. :)

A run and a mission

Superb run around EL with the large Suzanne group this morning. After the run, followed Kirby on a day mission and I hope to go on a pm mission later today. He is a bad influence!

Tri-lakes

Started out with the group, then headed off to run tri-lakes on my own. It was a beautiful morning out there. Unfortunately, my knee started to hurt near Bubble, so I'll have to manage that and maybe rest up a little more than I'd like this week.

Mayhem 10K Report

Peter and I went 1 - 2 at the Mayhem 10K trail run. It was a technical and challenging course that is next to Maine Sport in Rockport.

Fantastic Awards - Got an age group medal and a $30 gift certificate! Not bad for a $10 race entry :OP

Melissa Poulin (5th Overall for Women at the Sugarlaf Marathon) won for the women and was 3rd overall in the race.

night mission(139)

We are waiting for Shannon to get back
Michelle i have new batteries for the 2 way radios and 3 sets of night vision goggles
you bring a couple of your new knives

and what are you complaining about your piece count it way higher than mine today
not bad for your first time picking you just need to talk less pick more it will come with time

10m group run at 6:30

Sure it was hot, but it was a wet heat. Beautiful morning with good company. I was down about 6 pounds post-run on that humid adventure. Hope your knee is okay soon Mark. I am going to have to hear about the "mission". I hope to be back at Eden central in 3 weeks. Life is good.

No rest for the wicked

So much for my day of rest. Ended up riding the Spyder down to the island and walking around EL, very nice walk. This after telling Michele on Friday that I didn't think I could walk 6 miles, she was right, as usual, but don't tell her that.

Jason

Shhh....we won't say a word! :)

But you better give a shout next time you are on the Island so we can join you!

I will

I definitely will. This was pretty spur of the moment. One of those "why am I sitting here watching TV, there must be something more productive than this" moments.

Tri-lakes

Got a later start than I hoped this morning. Wasn't a great running week last week, but I'm starting this week out on the right note. Did a very nice tri-lakes and felt great all the way through and especially at the end. Later in the afternoon did a short hike. Awesome.

hadlock round and round

first with jean and don, then three 8:40-ish/min miles, then around the upper hadlock loop again. with a short hike on Bare Mtn trail to cut off the hills. 9.3 miles in all.
