RESULTS: Bangor Milk Mile

[Thanks, RK!]

awesome day

Congrats to all racers, organizers and volunteers especially Amanda (one of my favorite), there is an aura about her. It was fun to see everyone.

Rode the park loop early this morning with Britt and Timmy and then ran the 10k. I am beat . . . and I still have to mow the lawn.

lawn

Will that be a recovery lawn mowing or tempo?

Funny you should ask. I did n

Funny you should ask. I did not get to mow because neither me or my oldest could start it but I usually end up almost running to get it over asap and get a workout out of it.

7 miles including the race

I am very glad I decided to go to the race today! It was wonderful to see SO many people, both participating and volunteering, and I even made some new friends! :)

I ran the first three miles with CeCelia. She wasn't racing (or so she said), and thought we started too fast. Yet....at the water stop, which I walked through because my throat was really hurting and water was so welcome, I noticed she pulled further and further away. I was happy to hang back and stay relaxed, and I think CeCelia ran a very smart "non-race" that netted her 2nd in her age group! :) I am so proud of her. That's my girl!!!

As much I enjoyed seeing everyone, I must admit it was a special treat to see Judson. I miss him!

ouch.

Beat up by Britt and Michelle on the loop road, and then a TOUGH race--the results of which I am thrilled with. Fun to watch Elizabeth battle for the first half of the race...that girl she beat nearly out kicked me at the end.

Nice seeing everyone--what a volunteer effort! Thanks all for your work.

Highlight of the day: the LIBRARY!

Alyie

Why didn't you and Anna come to the race?

I

was at work.

Alyie says,

"No particular reason."

Blue Hill Mtn

Hiked Blue Hill Mtn with Michele and Eliot since she hadn't done enough already today. I'm glad they went with because I probably would have talked myself out of going otherwise.
