CliffsNotes Word of the Week: comfit (kum' fit)

Candy or other sweets (such as candied nuts or fruits)

[Everybody] at once crowded around her, calling out in a confused way, "Prizes! Prizes!"

Alice had no idea what to do, and in despair she put her hand in her pocket, and pulled out a box of comfits … and handed them round as prizes. There was exactly one a-piece all round.

From Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Happy Birthday Melanie Mace!

Short ride

I rode 8.3 miles with CeCelia this morning. I had planned to do a short run after, but I felt wiped out, and actually laid down for a bit instead. Off to work- have a great day, Eden!

Back into the routine

45 on the arc and 2M on the treadmill. On week six of the Michele running program, walk 4mins jog 2.5mins repeat x4.

swim

swim 2,000 this am and on my way back from my Bangor meeting I purchased 2 new tires that take 120 psi (20 more than mine do) and new break pads. The tires I have on righ now are full of punctures. I really would love to be faster.

then

buy a bike like Jason's !!!
if you want to go faster stop riding over the spike mats the PD has set up in the city hall parking lot .
it will help you get faster at changing flats in your race just carry a bunch of spare tubes

Not so fast

On my bike she starts screaming at anything over about 35. She really enjoys riding in the ditch also.

Got a little lost

I went out to do a new bit of carriage roads I hadn't done before and took one or two slightly wrong turns. I intended to do around 5 or so, but ended up with about 7.5

Run - bike

10.6 and 21.2, respectively.
