raining in Geneve

old city, new city, waterfront too. 3 mi.

Frustrated

Was all set to run with CeCelia and a new friend this morning, and at 5am I was woken up by a horrific calf cramp. It is still sore. It's been a really crappy two weeks.

I'm sorry.

Things will look up.

Hamden

Is anybody going to run the 8.5 in Hamden this Sunday?

I am

Peter, I plan to bike first and then race. Would love company on the bike part.

You mean in the same day? Bi

You mean in the same day? Bike first before the 8:30 race start an hour away? How about we race first and go for a bike ride around 4PM?

sorry

No can do . . . that defeats the purpose of the brick (bike/run), a key component of tri training.

tri training?

What's that?

??

Are you going to be riding in Hamden right before the race? How long? You should come to the start linen in your bike shoes so you can practice the transition.

work on

swim training they have a town pool in Brewer

Hey, hey, hey ....

.... here comes Big Bob. Vanessa and I were out enjoying a lovely walk around EL when I paused to remove a pebble from my shoe. I opted to sit on a nearby Rockefeller tooth. When my butt met the granite the thing promptly fell over. How rude! Could this be a sign it would take me two trips to haul ass?

I neglected to mention that Maggie Painter was also out running with us last night. I bet that rock would not have fallen over if Maggie had sat on it.

I'm still having a popover tonight. Life is good in the woods.

tempo

Around Little Long Pond. A little drizzly but nice.

45 on the arc at the Y and 2.5M on the treadmill. Off on an our-of-state Spydering adventure for the next couple of days so no workouts for me until at least Sunday.
