Let's hear those race reports from the 8.5 miler!

Probably a rest day

*sigh* The last two weeks have been hell. It started with a post marathon funk, then a horrible mixup with my Dad's surgery, now DeLaney is sick, and I was having slight hip pain ever since Zumba which became nearly excruciating after my run last night.

The last two weeks have made me think hard. I'm not into the whole crosstraining thing. I don't enjoy fitness classes and I don't have 2 hours every time I get on the road bike to get a decent workout in. The road bike was a poor, impulsive decision. I should have borrowed or rented one for a few weeks. I am going to sell the bike if anyone is interested. I still have my mountain bike and I will use that for pleasure with DeLaney.

Running is my thing. Running 5-6 days a week is what makes me happy, and I've decided I am not going to mess with a good thing anymore.

EL fun

Started EL with Bob & Becky C (Bob on his bike), Mark, & Ron. Becky looped back to run with Vanessa. As we were running up the hill we were pleased to see Shannon coming to meet us, much like the cavalry. We walked EL with Bob & Becky, getting to see Joyce in the process.

"Happy Father's Day" to all the Eden Dads out there.

one more week to taper

and looking forward to it. My body is ready. Biked 4 hours yesterday afternoon. This morning I biked 45 minutes and then ran the 8.5 M Hampden race in sub 8 min pace (right on goal). It was hilly and hot, and I had some GI issues but I just spaced out and kept going.

Michele ????

by any chance are you missing a sock ?
one was found at the race !!!!! what color was yours???

too many ways...

I feel bad because I told some people I was going to go to Hamden and some that I was going to the track. Instead I ended up calling an audible and going for a morning 35 mile cycle with Britt and Julie H., immediately followed by 10K run with same. Were your ears ringing Michele?
