[Thanks, RK and Samantha!]

6.5 echo lake-lurvey spring loop....

first time in awhile. Good job tour du lac runners!

No running this weeeknd

My hip still hurts, even a bit while I walk around. I will be making an appointment to see my doctor if there is no improvement at the beginning of the week. Spinning does not bother it, at least I have that. I am very frustrated and discouraged...I really wanted to try my hand at some shorter stuff before I start training for the half and possibly MDI. *sigh*

busy day

45 on the Arc, new tie rod ends on the truck and a new rear fender on the Spyder. Productive day. Hiking Schoodic Mtn tomorrow.

slug massacre

I am happy with my race this morning. I wanted 8 min pace and managed 7:49. I also came back with both socks!!! What was interesting is the stretch of road that was laden with small slugs, most of them squished to death. Did a lovely hike in the park with Eliott this afternoon and went to sand beach afterwards. he swam until he was purple.

woof

Funny, I did not notice any slugs but I did see an osprey and a bobolink.
I had only run 10+ miles once so I was in uncharted territory. Would have been happy to run anything under 8 min pace and pulled off 7:34 w/negative splits so I'm pretty stoked. What a great course, love those uphill stretches. Great showing for Eden. My favorite moment was probably when Robin called Austin Pants on the Ground.

Great group run at EL

There was a big group at EL (that included Julie, Ginger, Lisa, Karen, Britt, Holly, Megan, Bob & Becky, Helen, & I'm sure I'm forgetting others I did not get to talk with). Added a couple miles with Britt & Helen & Lisa afterwards. Beautiful morning, great company. Nice job on your racing, Michele & Peter. Life is good in the woods.
