What's your run?

4 x 3 mi

25:54, 23:25, 22:10, 21:35

Really just a way to entertain myself for twelve miles: the beat your prevoius pace game.

Happy Birthday Peter B!

Enjoy the day. : )

I rode and ran and hosted in laws and worked a little and had a great weekend, even if it wasn't exactly in the order I meant for everything to fall in place over the last couple days. Off to plant more carrots in the rain, since then I won't have to water them in.

Bob B, are we on for tomorrow morning? I haven't looked at the forecast yet; I'll do that now. Hope to see you soon.

Jason, how about Acadia Mtn or the North Ridge of Cadillac? There are no hikes in Hancock that aren't pretty. : )

I think the guy with the toe shoes is Someone Aponte. I remember his gait being really light and elevated when I saw him at the memorial mile this year. But, I may have him completely mixed up with another person, so chime in MikeUp if you're him!

'Tis I....

Not sure if I'm light and elevated, but the FiveFingers shoes/jog stroller combo is pretty unmistakable.

I wanted to save Cadillac for

I wanted to save Cadillac for last but I'm not sure if it's that hard of a hike or not. This weekend I'm going to do Black Mountain in Sullivan, I've heard that is a pretty steep climb.

Tunk Mountain

Happy Birthday, Peter Beckett!

An effort to be smart

My hip is a lot less achy today. I think my plan is take one solid week off from running to really let it heal. Cycling does not bother it so I can do that. I keep reminding myself that when I cycled during my calf injury, I lost little to no fitness. So....that is the plan. If, after a week, there is still a problem, then I will pursue with my doctor.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

1.2 by Thursday

Need to lose 1.2lbs by Thursday to meet my June goal, shouldn't be a problem. Today I have 45 on the arc and only 30 mins on the treadmill after an afternoon power surge caused havoc on our computer network here.

Beech Mountain hike

after work. Couldn't see much.

3.4 Barefoot

I learned what a "frequency run" is the other day. I would call this a "frustration run". A frustration run is a run designed to be an outlet for pent-up stress (in this case, associated with newly-discovered and expensive automotive issues). Did my typical Sand Point/Degregoire loop run but managed it several minutes faster than I've ever done it before. Frustration is apparently rocket fuel. Maybe I should arrange for the fuel pump/timing chain to fail in the van again before my next race.... :0p

Degreg

Mike,
I live at 124 DeGregoire, out back, downstairs. Look me up sometime when you're running through. I'll be on the lookout for crazy barefoot guy. Maybe hit Witch Hole sometime...
