Tuesday, June 29: Daily Log

Alice laughed. `There's no use trying,' she said 'one can't believe impossible things.' `I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. `When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast!'"

Happy Birthday to Carol Brodeur!!!

Back on track

I called out for reinforcements yesterday to help my motivation, and my call(s) were answered. Got in a nice run around WHP with Judy this morning, plan on track tomorrow, and hopefully a run w/ Shannon later in the week. Having good people to run with makes it so much better!

I am starting the Hal Higdon 12 week half marathon training program today. I think it's going to work well for me.

Jason, hope you are able to meet your June goal. You've been doing great, you make me feel lazy with all that working out you're doing. If you don't meet your target weight this month don't worry, you're right on track... and inspiring!

Suzanne, hope your week of no running does the trick for your hip.

Look forward to seeing folks at the track tomorrow.

Thanks

It's going to be really close, I really want to hit this one because it isn't only a monthly goal, it's numerically significant as well.

Oooh

is it prime? A Fibonnaci? Perfect square?

I'm rather partial

to imaginary numbers. Lots of real world applicability. Such as, I ran 18 miles today at a 6:00 pace. Beautiful numbers, but totally imaginary.

i

like imaginary numbers two.

More like

any number less than 300. And I hit it this morning.

Sweet!

Well done, Jason!

Jason!

You rock, my friend! Congratulations!

12 miles bike in the living room....

...may get out on the road bike tomorrow since DeLaney will be in school. Hip feels fine but I am going to continue to behave.

EL walk and run

There was a light fog hovering over Eagle Lake this early morning, the calm water reflecting the gentle luminescense. Enjoyed a 3 mile stroll with Vanessa and a 6 mile run with Shannon & Zoe. 61 degrees at 7:30. Life is good in the woods.

Gym Workouts

Did 45 mins easy on the Arc as my legs just felt dead this morning and then I did 30 mins on the recumbent bike at lunch.

4 miles...

pigfarm road.

Eagle lake

Good run around Eagle Lake this evening. About 5 min in I was joined by Bob C on the bike. He coached and coaxed me to a 41:42 time -- my second best EL ever. And regardless of my time, I enjoyed the company.

Ahhhh

A run with Coach Bob....color me VERY jealous! :)
