Happy Birthday to Siobhan Ryan!
What's your run?
53.26 norway, crooked, park loop, rt 3, cromwell harbor, schooner head. I hope to make this a faster run in time.
For me today. Yesterday evening I got in 2.6 w/ Shannon after work. Her plan said 2, mine said 3, so we split the difference :) I'm starting to feel good about running again, I have stuck to week 1 of my training plan quite well. I have a 3mi planned for tomorrow, and 5-6 for the 4th.
to mention that TomK was also there for our run, and afterwards he ate hummus and said it wasn't all that bad :) wonders never cease.
63:03, half mile walk, hip exercises.
I am doing 2 easy park loops tonight starting from the MDI Y at 5:30 pm and could really use some company for one or both loops.
A little tenderness during and a little sore after. I am not sure if that's normal or not given my situation.
Arc: 45mins, Walk/Run 3min/3min x 5 plus warm up/cool down and I definitely did not complain at all while I was running. Thus completes the final week (Week 8) of the Michele running program for Jason. On to bigger and better things next week.
FYI my program was 3X 3min but some of us are ambitious!!! I changed my bike break pads while Jason was getting his workout in.
Tom, make sure to call Jason if you go to the race on Sunday. He seem to be looking forward to it.
Hmm, drive to Brewer and run in a race orrr sit on the beach at camp sipping on a beer after 2 weeks without a rest day, including 3 mountain hikes... yea, tough call.
Jason that beer at camp sounds like the choice to me!
do the run then back to camp is my plan i am going to the stongton 6 on Sat. if anyone is going call me 266-2556 949-3920
with Helen. Beautiful morning, great company. 4 deer were spotted along the way (its fun knowing they are there even if I don't actually see them). I did get to see Craig & Joann along the East side, just before finding Vanessa near the finish. Life is good in the woods.
Schooner Head at lunch with Mark. No running yesterday, hiked instead.
though I am feeling tired from a busy morning of rigging boats and an afternoon spent getting ready for tomorrow. I and several others will be selling Dominican coffee, iced coffee and smoothies at the ballfields in Bar Harbor tomorrow to benefit a school and church we're building in the Dominican Republic. Stop by if you're in the area!
glad to see you posting! Are you running the Flamingo 4 miler next weekend?
Probably not as I haven't been able to find anyone to sub for me in my SS class. I was actually thinking of doing the Bradbury Scuffle trail run in southern ME but, like I said, no one to take over for me. Oh well.
After nearly bailing on running tonight, I ended up sticking with the plan and running up Cadillac for the first time ever, with Shannon and Brian. Over all the years of cycling I have often found that some of the very best workouts are the ones where you almost take a nap instead and tonight was the epitome of that. Ran up in 30:06 with one of those bionic legs stretches the last mile. It felt great and right now the cold soak is paying off!! Thanks guys! I would NOT have done that on my own, at least not tonight.
