Cliff Notes Word of the week: stolid
(stäl' id)

Impassive; having or showing little or no emotion or sensibility

Farfrae was always considerate to his fallen acquaintance; but it was impossible that he should not, by degrees, cease to regard the ex-corn-merchant as more than one of his other workmen. Henchard saw this, and concealed his feelings under a cover of stolidity …

3.4 Today

I met up w/ Judy before work for a loop around WHP. Even though it was still early, the humidity in the air made it tough to breathe. Hello, Summer!

I plan to be at the track tomorrow, and go to the Eden meeting after. I'm thinking I'll bring some food to share, I'll be hungry after track :)

Suzanne, I'm waiting on your report from your Dr. appt... hope things turn out okay.

speaking of the meeting tomorrow

is it possible for directions to be emailed? I am not sure if I can come or not but would like them in case.
Thanks!
Alyie

Thank you, Ms. D

I ended up with a cortisone shot. There was question about a bursa (sp?) but his ultrasound machine isn't the best. We decided to go with the shot for today. I can try to run Friday, and if I am pain free it did the trick. If not, then I have to follow up at the hospital with an ultrasound or MRI there. *fingers crossed this works* I also have new stretches, etc. to try.

1.5 miles this morning before the appointment so I could show him exactly where the pain flares up.

47:40 around EL. Ran in with a young lady vacationing from Mass. Got to see Vanessa near the end and ran into a doctor of ours who now lieves here year round. Small world. Weights, squats, and 5 minus on the rower (2:26/500m - a stately pace). Life is good. Alyie, I will send you the directions.

C25K

Did my 45 on the Arc at a relatively slow pace this AM, and I also did C25K Week 1 Day 1 during lunch.

lunch run

ran 30 minutes at lunch in the blazing sun. It was hot but nothing like it is likely going to be this weekend especially after the swim and the bike.

in Castine. I ran by a porta potty that had been knocked over by Fort George over the weekend. I yelled - if anyone is in there it's a good time to make some noise! - no reply.

This afternoon the campus is at "darken ship" which means in this case that all power is turned off for conservation for the rest of the week.

32

Cycled. Commuting.

That's 94 in two days, Eden...

strength

That's it for the day, besides work of course.

I'm eyeing the cape cod Marathon. My hesitation is its the Dunkin Donuts cape cod Marathon. I gave up donuts when I started running. Not sure I can get over the sponsor given my donut free lifestyle. Still its got spots open and the cape is nice. Discription is its hard, but I can't imagine its harder than the last 6 of MDI. Indecision. ..
