4 hot miles

I ran with CeCelia and DeLaney, and with a 10am start, we did not beat the heat. Let's just say there were a few walk breaks sprinkled in. hehe

Finally

Finally hit the PR I've been after on the Arc Trainer for about 4 weeks. Hit 1000 calories in 45 minutes (1015 to be exact), I think it helps that they finally have the AC working at the Y.

So that's 45 mins on the arc trainer followed by 30 minutes on the stationary bike. I'm also looking to set a weekly weight loss PR but I won't know for sure until tomorrow morning, looking pretty good as of right now, though.

Danforth's to Dysart's

Carpooled w/Tom K up to Hermon for the Danforth's to Dysart's 5K and Blueberry Pie Challenge. Pretty hot but not too bad. Did not partake in the pie challenge but ran a 5K PR and actually won my age group which was totally unexpected.
Elizabeth and Eric won and both set course records. Shannon (Dude Where's My Car?), who showed up at 8:57 for the 9:00 start, took 2nd place for the women. Jamee C and Kirby both got second in their age groups. Good show troops!!

Congrats

Nice run, Peter! Sounds like a good time was had by all. I don't know how you all did it in this heat. I've been "sweating with authority" since 6am, and I'm just sitting here.

Great showing everyone.

Danforth to Dysart's 5K

didn't get much running in, but had a really great *time* helping out the folks at the race. 78 runners, 15 walkers and 4 1/2 mile fun runners made for a spectacular record breaking event today in Hermon. Eric Rudolph ran a new CR in 16:30 and Elizabeth Brunton ran a new CR in 19:01. Good to see everyone there! Especially seeing Shannon and Tom and meeting Peter! This race is really well done, plenty of volunteers, worthy cause and a great point to point flat course. Hope to see this become bigger every year and if you haven't run this one - make sure it's on your must do! Got to be interviewed by the great Chuck Foster on Z107.3 FM at 8:50. It was a thrill!

9 miles

Trail run in FiveFingers!

I am thrilled that the Obamas are visiting (!!!) but I would have preferred that they not bring the Washington DC temperature and humidity with them.

Broken toe felt fine.

Congrats

Congrats to all the runners, hopefully I'll be running some of these things next year.

Congrats Runners / Edenometer

Edenometer is up and running....add your mileage...see the Eden yearly mileage sum grow and grow. Mostly have 6 contributors...could use more. Try it out...

Sorry

That I have lapsed lately and shall do better.

My nine are in today.
