Early bird gets the cool weather

Sunday Run 8 am

is anyone going to be at Eagle Lake ?

Austin

need a Potato BLossom race report...what happened? how hot was it anyway?

Happy Birthday to Chris Ganz!

I may not have time to run today...I am throwing a brunch baby shower, and then going to Bangor to see Dad at the hospital.

8 EL / Happy Birthday Chris

I like my new Sauconey's. Nice run, hot, enjoyed a slower pace with Tom and then joining up with Anne Marie and Vanessa.

6 miles....

seawall-bass harbor area. looking for the cool breezes but only found hot ones.

Patience

is a virtue, John.

Chill until half past seven when the sea breeze kicks in and then go for your run. Late birds as well as early birds have cool shady runs...

Just for perspective, in Florida it is in the upper nineties all day every day at this time of year.

Yeah, you're right.....

I probably won't do that again.

whoops....

double posted!

Blue Hill Mtn

Blue Hill Mountain hike. I'll consider this my rest day. Today is the 6 month anniversary of my little weight loss adventure. As of this morning I'm down 70lbs. 50 of which I've lost since April 8.

Nice job Jason.....

your story is very inspiring. You've got me out the door a few times after reading your posts. Keep it up!

12.5 in the hot hot heat

Missed the morning run today, and paid the price. I did 12.5 in the middle of the day. It was slow and it was hot, but actually not a bad run and I'm glad I did it. Next time, I'm going out earlier in the day (or later -- either way I'm looking for those cool breezes too)

I need some cheese with my wine

Congratulations to all of the hermon racers especially to mr. B for his PR. Shannon, love your style, reminds me of the time i was walking to the start line while putting my contacts in. Jason congratulations, i know you have worked hard for every single pound you have shed.

I am on vacation at the beach and slightly depressed. The bruise is healing really well although the cheek is still swollen. Impact, as created from running, brings an odd sensation to the bruised area. The tailbone is still a problem. I can swim with the wetsuit as I can do with very little kicking. Surfing and kayaking are pretty much out. Running is out. I hope to be able to bike as the position is forward but first the bike needs to be fixed.

you won't get any from me

your on vacation and on the beach what more do you need ? a bag of swedish fish and tub of hummus to dip them in is all i can think of
and the best way to get the bike fixed is to take it to a bike shop
it will not heal on it's own !!!!

Chin up, you're on the BEACH,

Chin up, you're on the BEACH, I'll gladly trade spots. Heck, I'd even deal with the bruised check for some beach time. Enjoy your rest, it'll be over before you know it.

bike

Michele,
Bring the bike in to the Ellsworth store and my boy Sebastian or I will take a look at it for you. Should be pretty quick turnaround.

EL and the bridges

Ran, um, most of it with Mark and Bob, with a cameo appearance by Bob C. I guess the week caught up with me and I crashed somewhere on the back side of Eagle Lake. The guys wouldn't leave me, though, so we ended up running it in after a break. Kind gesture but next time, gentlemen, don't let my bonk get in the way of your great runs.

A fun 5k yesterday up in Hermon/Hampden. Even with a little teasing for my less than stellar timing for the arrival, that was a really fun run. Hot out, though. Pretty dry at the start, VERY dry by the finish. Hydrate, hydrate. We found the trail that leads from the high school to the elementary school, which was a great place to warm down after. And that concludes all my running for the week. Will do better than two outings next week hopefully. : )
