ANOTHER beautiful day

cadilap

to start the day; perfect. don't know about making track....morning is my best time

3 miles SWH

I don't know what is wrong with me. Running is no fun anymore, and I'm not even training for anything. The 3 miles today felt like a marathon, and I walked up Long Hill. I feel so out of shape...I haven't felt so bad about myself since before I lost all my weight. Easy runs feel hard. Everything feels hard. I'm tired. I feel like people are looking at me when I run in town and they are just thinking about how much weight I've put on. I hate the way I feel, I hate the way I look.

Oh gosh, I am venting big time. I am going to take a break for awhile before I post again. I need to get in a better place.

How about

A relaxed social run, no Garmins allowed? And you still looked great when I saw you at the Flamingo race.

I've been struggling with running lately too. For me, I think it's the combo of post-marathon blues plus the increased heat and humidity. You've had a lot of extra stress in your life lately, that will impact how you feel physically.

love ya, girl

stress stress

stress stress stress...my bugaboo...maybe yours too. How about setting aside an hour for yourself each day, maybe walk, maybe run, maybe watch the tube. When I'm not looking forward to my workouts, it's time to chill. focus on getting a good night's sleep...the only task for day 1.

check out (for overtraining, but that's stress eh?)

morning

run: 7.2 miles 60:48
swim: 1200 yds

Suzanne, get back into a routine of doing something active each day, at an easy effort. When we back off on exercise our bodies store more water and glycogen - as we're usually at somewhat depleted when training a lot - and that is part of the fat feeling (and the weight gain). For what it's worth I always feel fat after a rest day!

Even if it's not fun, think about it from the perspective that it is physically and mentally healthy to exercise each day. It will feel better!

Circuit!

4 rounds of a quarter and 3 x 30 seconds of dryland, followed by a hard mile. You guys are the most easygoing, wonderful running mates to go along with this workout. I love them, but some happen to think burpees and lunges have no place on a track. : ) Thank you Brian for the terrific reward upon completion. Good job all, and see you next week!

Suzanne, don't sabotage yourself. You're amazingly busy, doing really well, and placing unrealistic demands on your energy which will only sap what you have left. You're lucky I'm headed to NY or I'd be sitting at the foot of your driveway yelling annoyingly encouraging things at you right now. : )
