Acadian Running Camp begins TODAY!
... and GO, DR. DAVE at Ironman Lake Placid!
ran part with Doug & Bob, the rest with Kevin & Mark, who went on towards Witch Hole when I dropped off. Thanks all for the great company. Got to talk with Vanessa, Becky, & Teresa (former Eden runner up from DC). Life is good in the woods.
an hour of running and an hour of walking. Hip exercises.
make the number of contributers go up! I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE BEEN RUNNING! Anna I put your run on for yesterday
Did I do it right?
out of the water in 1:04, nice swim time. He's been working his a$$ off training - thinking of you and hope it pays off.
Athlete tracker is here
5:31:01
from Holden is also competing today at Lake Placid. She's a Sub5 Board Member and a locally known competitive triathlete - she is also the owner of Pine Tree Physical Therapy in Bangor. She's doing very well in her division after the bike too! Thanks for the link Alyie - nice to see both doing so very well!
and they are on the edenometer :)
35 miles on the bike. Looking for something that fell off the trunk of my car on the way to Ellsworth last night. There are a lot of blue things by the roadside as it turns out. Nursing a sore left hip that does not like speedwork but doesn't seem to mind cycling. Sorry I missed Bucksport yesterday.
it wasn't a pair of Robin's shoes
( no wait, that was coming home from the 3k on the 4th)
or was it her purse, no wait that was from the Indian Island 5 miles ) hung on chair @DD I give up ? and the track workouts can be tough on hips mine is mostly the right one from the arc of the turns
Sat evening I went to Ellsworth to run some errands and borrow a kayak ($3500) from my demo fleet at the store. When I got home I needed to walk my dog around the block, but first I took off his electronic training collar ($250) and placed it on the trunk of my car. When we got back I realized that I had forgotten to relock the half-trailer full of boats ($10,000) so I immediately rushed back to Ellsworth to secure them. Boats are all accounted for. Collar is gone. Did I mention that it was blue?
My sore hip is the inside. Coach agreed that it would be wise not to race this weekend which is frustrating since I was sort of on a roll. Haven't run at all since Wed. Got a body ball and am working on some dumb stretching and strengthening exercises.
in Stockton - wanted cool and damp but got the opposite! Lots of miles in the past 24 hours. Now for a late BBQ.
47ish minutes on the Arc Trainer, was going for 60, but it was horridly hot and no fan so I stopped at 1000 calories.
I hiked instead of running the 5k yesterday, and it turned out to be very nice. As Bob said, he, Bob C., Doug, Kevin and I set out this morning, with Bob C. and Doug running EL and the rest of us running tri-lakes, then Kevin and I running WHP. We went slow, which was good b/c I didn't have a whole lot to spare today. It's satisfying to get a solid long-ish run though.
Great Tri-lakes + Witch Hole with great company as described by Bob and Mark. It was nice to run with some coolness and clouds this morning. I really enjoyed the morning run. I've been moving slowly ever since.
saw dr. dave finish. did some big time cheering. awesome time. the whole experience was awesome. the inventory was awesome. going to register tomorrow . . . the course looks pretty challenging.
