Sunday, August 1: Daily Log

rabbit, rabbit, white rabbit

What's your run?

6 miles

47:10 and then hip, core, and weight exercises using balance boards, hula hoops, ladders, and weights.

13.5

What a beautiful morning. Ran Aunt Betty with Kevin, Ron and the Bobs, starting easy and picking it up a notch when Ron started going all Contador on us up the EL hills. Then soldiered on for a WHP loop that was a little tougher than ideal, mostly because of tight hammies. Continued my recent habit of not wearing a Garmin or a watch, but that will likely end soon with a possible winter marathon on the horizon.

rest day

lounged on the dock at a friend's camp. ate blueberry muffins, threw the ball into the lake for Lily the Lab to retrieve.

14-ish total

EL before meeting up with Mark, Ron, Bob B. and Bob C. Then did ABP and the long way back 'round Eagle Lake for another 8. Its good that we went easy (I didn't succumb to Ron's significant acceleration up the hills). I wasn't feeling great at the start, but a little better perhaps near the end. Better by this afternoon.

Terrific 10

It is funny how the five of us enjoyed a great eight bridges loop together and all ended up running different mileage for the day. The weather was so perfect this morning that I tagged on an extra two plus miles along the west side of Eagle Lake. Becky was a great guide. Life is good in the woods.

Two Rest Days

Rest days yesterday and today and I feel great. Been awhile since I didn't have some serious aches. I'll be back at it hard tomorrow.

3.8

Something in those dark twilight woods was making an awful lot of noise. I have run up and down that hill a few hundred times in my life - never so quickly as tonight. As fast as my legs would carry me - that's how fast. It was a mile before I looked over my shoulder and another mile before I slowed down.

Eeek, Eden!
