What's your run?

4 x 3 mi

run: 4 x 3 mi (25:30, 23:45, 22:30, 21:57)
swim: 1300 yds

Wet n' wild

So I made it out for a run after work yesterday. I was going to do the flat 4, but I got a late start. About a mile in I heard a big boom of thunder, and the sky got really dark. I decided to turn around shortly after that. Then the rain started, and the wind was coming off the lake pretty hard. Oy was a trooper, and kept it up with me. He'd stop and shake about every 200yds, which was pretty funny. He also had fun with a bunch of big frogs that were hanging out in the middle of the carriage road between the boat launch and the parking lot. Wound up getting in 2.4, better than nothing.

Hope to see folks at the track tonight! Don't know what's on the agenda, but my training plan has me doing 400's so I may do that.

Will see you at track

I'm printing up four choices for workouts and the people who show can pick one tonight. : ) I'll make sure 400s are one of the choices. They'll all be either repeats or threshold since you guys did intervals last week.

A bunch of us got caught in the rain yesterday, felt really good. I need a sunny stretch here, though, because I'm out of dry shoes.

So John, did you catch the four wheelers yesterday? : )

45 15 30

45 Arc Trainer, 15 Treadmill and 30 C25k W5D2. The dreaded W5D3 is on tap for Friday (if you Google W5D3 you will see others also dreading this day) which is a 5 min warmup followed by 20 min of running with no breaks. If I feel as good as I felt today, though, it should be no problem.

Oh, I got my Garmin, but it didn't download all the data points so I couldn't plot my run on the computer. Bummer. I have heart rate and time/distance data, but no map. I did a hard reset so we'll see if it works better next time.

3 miles

To much traffic for my liking. Back to the woods.

Catching up

Mon- Rest
Tues- 60 min spin class
Today- 60 min spin class, 1.5 mile run/walk, weight training

I tried one last run today but only made it .70 without having to walk. My hip pain is terrible. I have requested an MRI as the cortisone shot simply did not do the trick. Yoga tomorrow. \

Be proud of me....my spin class was at 5:30 AM this morning. I feel like such a rock star being functional at that hour! :)

WHP from VC

w/ Little Dude and stuffed coati. My son gave a nice commentary on dragonflies and squirrels. Coati said very little. 4.65 in 37:15. That first hill from the parking lot is TOUGH with a stroller!! We broke no records going up - coming back down I glanced @ the Garmin and saw 4:50. Good thing the jogger has brakes.

Squirrels

All the squirrels at Camp Beech Cliff are named Philip and Philip likes to eat campers' lunches and snacks. A particularly nutty Philip ate an archery arm guard.

Poor Philip

Must've been hungry.

4ish with circuits

The mileage wasn't big, but the workout circuits sure made it challenging and a good workout. 1 min hard, 3 easy, then 4x200 with circuits of core & strength rather than recovery, 3 min break, rinse & repeat 3 times. Great circuit group with Mary, Nora, Maggie, Shannon (world's best drill instructor), Helen, & Gideon. Also enjoyed seeing Dave & Annie, Lou, Jean, Judy, Vanessa, Peter, & Danson. Life is good in the woods & at the track.
