What's up Eden?
Seems like a good weekend was had by Eden!
A big congrats to TomK on his great 5k in Belfast!
And to Judy who I see was 5th female overall in the time trials!
I'm bummed I missed out on the track festival, I was on call and get no cell reception at the HS. I totally would have won the prediction 1mi :)
Saturday I had some things to do in Bangor, so I got in 4mi at City Forest.
Sunday was my longest run since the marathon, 8.3mi. I took it nice and slow and had plenty in the tank at the end. I had fun catching bikers on the EL hill, and had fun playing tag with a family of bikers for the first 6.5 of my run. I'll be ready for the half marathon, I'm sure.
Looking forward to meeting the new class of First Strides!
Are you challenging me to a prediction mile showdown?
Game on.
Easy half-hour run.
Anyone know how long it takes to drive from Ellsworth to MDI HS? If I leave City Hall at 5 will I make it to the HS by 5:30?
Provided you don't get stuck behind a pokey RV. I usually take Water St. to Beechland to avoid all the traffic lights.
Hopefully if the weather is OK I'll be on the Spyder so Pokey RVs should pose little problem.
Are all out in force on the Loop Road so Ellsworth should be safe.
A new twist on passing bikers when I run, I now pass RVs when I bike.
to goose cove road there is a one lane alt. on the oak point road between rt3 and Goose Cove rd with a tem. traffic light set/up you should be close will put in my Garmin tom. and see what it gives for time
63 min Arc Trainer, 37 min C25k W7D1. 2.05m in 25 min.
Eagle to Bubble & back with Vanessa. Enjoyed seeing Megan, Karen, & Bean along the way. Life is good in the woods.
After work at Schooner Head. It's funny how a gloomy afternoon like this is so perfect for running.
I had fun with the small but most excellent group at the track on Saturday night. Sorry to miss the long run group this weekend, but I did sneak in 5 nice miles on the dirt roads of rural central Maine.
Vanessa captured photos of the fun below:

after work. Good solid run. I, too, found the gloom good for running.
I was sad to miss the Track Festival.
