What's your run?

Michelle Grover and Rochelle Sprague!!!

Scary stuff

On Thursday, I received a call from the UMF athletic trainer saying that CeCelia had been taken by ambulance to the hospital after the XC time trial that afternoon. After she finished, she collapsed and had a seizure. The convulsions lasted 2-3 minutes, and they couldn't rouse her for another 8 minutes after that. She remained confused, tired, and had a bad headache that night, and those symptoms are improving greatly now. Her tests all came back normal, and we have also ruled out dehydration and low blood sugar. They did find a heart murmur. She cannot drive or run until we follow up with an echocardiogram (scheduled for Monday) and a visit to a neurologist. I am sharing this information because CeCelia is an Eden member, and we would appreciate any good vibes you all can throw our way as we wade through this uncharted territory. Thanks!

Positive Vibes

Hope everything checks out fine suz, I'll be sending positive vibes your way.

Glad she is doing better

We will definitely be praying for CeCelia! Hoping for a speedy recovery and resolution for whatever is wrong.
My son and I had a blast at the NEH 5. Beautiful course, beautiful day! It was my first road race barefoot and everything felt great. 36:40. The little guy is asleep now after such a busy morning.

Suzanne, wow . . . sending so

Suzanne, wow . . . sending some super strong vibes.

I had a nice time at NEH. Made two dozen blackberry muffin with Eliott after and ate 10 of them. Man it was good.

Suzanne

I'm thinking of you and your family. CeCelia is a tough young woman and my gut tells me she will be fine. Weird things happen to us when we race. Please keep us posted, I just love that kid. She certainly has been a joy to race with and I look forward to running beside her again soon!

Northeast Hbr. 5 miler

42:15 was my time. I felt like I ran a good race. I felt stronger than I have in a while and the weather was better than it's ever been. I kept some solid 8:20's going for a while and then I got tired and dropped off a bit. I'm eager to get these legs turning over a bit faster. I was so impressed with Hannah W.'s negative splits, Bob B. (ya you, Mr. 40 min.!) and many other amazing performances out there today! I had a blast talking with everyone too!

Nada

Nada for me today, lacking motivation.
