Knee problem

I need advice. For the last three months (since the Boston marathon) my right knee has been giving me trouble. It is very often painful when I run. It is almost always very stiff feeling. Sometimes when it moves to one or another spot, I feel sick to my stomach. Things get a lot worse when I have to sit in a plane, train, bus, car (or some combination), for a long time. This is a knee that I really fouled up playing hockey when I was 14, four months in a cast, etc., but that was a loooong time ago. (it left my foot turning out, but, otherwise, I have had no significant problem for over 30 years.)

So, does anyone have any suggestions for doctors, physical therapists, etc.? I suspect I need to figure out some excersises, stretching, etc.

I would have it looked at Cra

I would have it looked at Craig before you run on it again. I split the edge of my knee cap once on a tile floor. John

Sorry to hear about your knee, Craig

John is right, you should probably have someone check it out. The guys at Frenchman's Bay Orthopedics* at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital have a good rep. I think Dr. Denoncourt is the "knee guy".

Thanks!

Dear John and Chris,

Thank you both. I'll make an appointment.

Dr. Denoncourt

He's quite good, he re-attached my left middle finger after a router accident.
