Boston Teams

Good Job in Boston by everyone. The Womens Master team finished 11th with a total time of 10:40:26 and the Mens Master team finished 41 with a time of 9:35:36.

First High School Meet

Enjoyed the meet. I was head to head with one of my teammates and we pretty much ran close to each other the whole time. I really didn't like the course. There was a part where you ran beside train tracks so you couldn't pass unless you want to get injured. There was a lot of potholes in the dirt roads we ran on and one of the runners that would've probably been in the top 3, sprained his ankle on one. I did run a good race. I had a time of 19:23, but still was pleased for the course we ran on. I wasn't happy with the course running on the road, I was hoping to run on a real cross country course. Calais took 1st, 2nd, 7th, 13th, 15th, 20th, and we had one girl that ran and came in 2nd for us. I was really surprised we had enough for a team. Ryan King, how did you find out the results on Tuesday? Next run on Wednesday the 13th at Washington Academy. Ty Davis

Circle Of Hope: Great Work Frank.

I saw someplace on this site that you completed your circle of hope. Great work. Too bad this was not put up in a more prominant place so that more people were aware of the circle as it happened. I feel that certain things can easilly get buried on this site like the Tyler run in August. This is one of the issues I would like to bring up at the end of the year meeting. Great work anyway! Maybe next year there can be better publicity and you will have some company.

The Circle of Hope is a pretty low key event. In effect it is a continuation (now six years) of a early October paddle I took with my Father while he was undergoing treatment for cancer. I didn't post much information about it this year in part because I wasn't sure when I would be ready to go and when the weather would cooperate. When, and where it was placed on the site was entirely my decision. I hope to be able to schedule it on a weekend day in the future and make it more of a group run.

As I understand it the Tylers decided to do one run instead of two the day of the George Shaeffer race. I know a few people had planned to join them on their second run that day (August 12th) had it taken place. If their journey up the coast becomes an annual event I am sure we will find a way to coordinate better with them.

I support your interest in wanting to make even better use of what is already a vibrant, informative, and supportive running site - one we are all fortunate to call home, and I look forward to seeing you on the trails and at the meeting.
