last year this was the same weekend as Sugarloaf, but Sugarloaf is later in May this year (May 21)
Chris to call organizer (Doug Radziewicz at SPCA) and see if we can co-sponsor or help

need to provide vests or orange shirts for volunteers
Weekly Pace Run – maybe Sat morning or Thur night around Eagle Lake…can pace each other, track loop times.
We would like to develop relationships with other clubs. Maybe invite them down for a Sunday Run, or go join them on one of their scheduled runs. One idea was to have a track meet.

Track Schedule
Kevin will provide weekly training plan
We will continue Wed at 5:30 at the MDI High School
We may occasionally travel up to Bangor and join sub5 for their Wed night track workouts
Association Membership
Decided not to join RRCA
Costs $2 / member and other costs too much
provides non-profit status, though so discussion on incorporating as non-profit in Maine followed
Will join USATF???

New Club Items
Incorporation as nonprofit org
Frank sent input that there is no disadvantage to incorporation as a non-profit, and it may facilitate our abilities to gain community support for events and donations
Vote: yes we will incorporate
Chris had mockup of bylaws, will work with executive committee to get incorporation done.
Will post suggested by-laws on website
Will modify mission statement to extend beyond running, maybe to ‘human-powered’ activities including cycling, swimming, etc.
Executive Committee
Will be Club Officers + two members elected at large (this time, the two getting most votes other than elected officials)
Club Logo – trademark
Mark Wanner will convene Logo group to compile 4 possible options for consideration. Others in the group are Liddy Hubbell (psending her agreement to participate), Alyie Dorko, Judson Cake.
Club Meetings –
Scheduled Quarterly, but President can adjust or cancel
March, June, Sept, Dec
Sept meeting would generate slate for election
Dec meeting would install new officers
We have to have at least one meeting / year for non-profit status
Copyrighting web pages
Generally want to provide materials freely
Want to encourage acknowledgement of materials generated by Eden Athletics
Some pages might include copyright of author if author requests
Could have general statement on use of materials
Ultimately, if people scrap our site and repost without attribution, it’s unethical. Our materials may be thus misused, but we will adhere to ‘open access’ philosophy and continue to post freely.

(reimbursements are still owed to BH and CG for Halloween Race expenses, which amounted to approx $532)
