Bangor????

Any favorite places to run in Bangor??? I just moved back to the area and am having a hard time finding places. Thanks =)

The City Forest, of course.

Out Stillwater Avenue beyond Hogan Road. Make a left at the sign for the forest and bog boardwalk. There is an outer trail that circles around in 4 miles. There are several inner loops that connect to the outer circle so you can add or subtract mileage. E-mail me and I can tell you more. Amyf45@msn.com.

Mount Hope Cemetery and Acadia National Park

Mount Hope - it's about a mile and a third loop - scenic and quiet if you're just starting out - if you like to commute, it's a must to go to Acadia National Park. 45 minutes on a quiet day to get there. Nothing else like it. That's where I try to do all my long runs.

There are some bike paths in Orono on the University of Maine campus - runners frequent there like flies in a cow barn. Plenty of trails in the woods to find some great routes. That's where I put most of my miles in, it's cool in the woods - and I like to try to stay off the roads as much as possible.
