Cat and Mouse

Cat and Mouse

How to play "Cat and Mouse"
• The kids are the cats.
• Everyone else running around the track are the mice.
• The object is for the cats to catch the mice. Catch as many as you can in the given time.
Rules:
• Go slowly around the track in the outside lanes. Wait for the mice to get by you. Once they get past you, chase them until you catch up and are even to them (stay in the outside lanes).
• Important - You cannot catch the same mouse twice in a row.
For fun see how far ahead you can let the mice can get before you catch them. You will find out that some mice are faster than others.

sounds like fun

I have to share a tale about my youngest son Nate(soon to be 4 on July 3). Each day as I tie up my laces Nate comes up to me(when he is awake) and says,"Mommy, you going running again? Oh, can I come too, please???" I say,"Yes when you see Mommy come up the road get ready and we will play chase." Never fail, Dad has him ready to join me at the end. I have yet to beat that guy! He is fast!

cat and mouse at the track

So my vision is, the mom's and dad's can bring their kids to the track and this may be a fun activity for them. It probably needs a good cheerleader to make it fun - oh Alyie!

But, I can live with the reality that the kids think it's kind of lame.

I cheerlead kids' games alllll day. I'd love to actually participate in one, for once - the next time I'm at the track (July 12, I think) I'll be a cat, I think.
