Plantar fasciitis woes

I've struggled with plantar fasciitis for over 10 years. It all started with a broken foot and just never got better. Years of therapy, e-stim, varous ice and/or heat combinations, and even 2 surgeries didn't begin to touch it. I did get a night brace that helped, but it was cumbersome and made it difficult to sleep. Christine suggested a product called The Strassberg Sock.
WOW! What a difference! While I'm not exactly pain-free, I can at least get up in the morning with minimal discomfort. It's not cumbersome at all and wearing it actually feels very natural after a few days. Here is the link: http://www.thesock.com/ . I hope this helps some others with similar problems.

wow

I am so excited about the Sock! I have had so much trouble with my heal that it took out of running all last summer. I still have days and nights that is bothers me. I had eight graphs in my foot because I had a complete rupture of the anterior tibials tendon along with a few small tendons that broke off with it. I then had surgery for compartment syndrome and then knee surgery. This is all becuase I have a slight scolosis and a hip abnormaity that throws off my biomechanics. I was told to never run again but we know how that goes. I began to run again last summer, after a few years but I had intense heal pain and it has lasted almost a year. My doc told me to wear a boot to bed but I could not sleep. Like you I tried everything and nothing worked. I am just getting back into running only up to about three miles and only doing about and 8:20 per mile and already getting heal paina gain, especailly at night. I know I will never do another marathon or place in smaller race again, but I still would love to get out and do some races just for fun. I just went to the site that sells the sock and I bought it. The sock is exactly what I have been looking for. I will keep you posted with my results. Thank you so much for posting your information about the sock. It is places like this that make such a difference in the lives of many athletes. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

The best treatment for plantar fasciitis

I had a horrible bout of plantar fasciitis in both feet for about a year (07-08). Having tried all kinds of things, I had great success with Jeff Galloway's simple suggestion: step into supportive running shoes as soon as you get out of bed, and keep them on. Don't take a single step barefoot! Once I started following this rule religiously, the problem gradually went away and it hasn't returned. (So far...)
