I thought this one was cute.
Happy Halloween!
trying to mix things up a bit - lots of runners out there running along Parkway South this morning. I didn't realize Brewer was the running mecca so early in the morning! Found 11 cents. More later.
really felt the run from this morning... normal breakfast of a bagel and coffee didn't cut it.
along a breezey riva' and legs Nautilus. Party tonight at Steve's.
Keep running!
Thanks to everybody who helped me get around the lake today. I think my kids have put on 20 lbs since last week. No more. I'll see you at the gym :)
Courtney
I sometimes feel that way at the end of a marathon (Boston 2004).
Maybe today is the day my power is restored.
All I want for Christmas . . .
I was ready to crack up Sunday night just before we got our power back. I don't know how you do it. I think I'll invest in a generator.
lost power last summer in Portland a few hours apparantly someone rammed a utiltity pole.CMP was on it thankfully but it did indeed make me realize how dependent I am on electricity. What,no internet?,I can't make coffee?Oh,the humanity ha,ha. Dave T.
we cleared the trees at about 9am today not sure how far the line crew was behind us if you still do not have it call me at 266-2556 or 949-3920 and i will see whats up sorry tom k
15 swimming and 50 water-running, with little bits of vertical fly kick to keep myself entertained.
Trying gently to coax my hamstring and hip back to their usual good-natured selves. I think it is working.
on Jesup. Also dealing with a sore back (from tiling, I think). Have fun and good luck to all who are running the mile tonight!
so I cut my track workout short and ambled around the neighborhood instead 4x800s in the 3:40-3:48 range for a grand total of 5 miles. Hope to find more motivation and energy in the big Halloween candy bowl. Can't wait to hear about the mile and see the photos (thank you, Ed!)
not quite in the dark yet, a beautiful sky. Happy Halloween! Mark, I really hope you get your power soon!
Up in Orono/Old Town on the bike path and trails. Nice day out--there were a TON of people on bikes and running today.
Mark, I'm up for running tomorrow whatever time works for you. Sorry we never connected today. And let us know when you have power back!
October 31. Ledgelawn Mile, Bar Harbor
Great job everyone! I saw some big kids in there too! Now go get some candy!
The XC team won their third shoe of the year today. YAY!!!!! I got a far share of candy Trick-or-Treating. I can't wait 'til next year! I've got one question, should I keep posting images depending on the season?
I've got an idea for when it snows! You'll have to wait and see :D
Things couldn't have gone more smoothly, thanks to the Race Director, who now has to go run 5 more miles before he can rest. Congratulations to all the runners!
Thanks again to Brian. The kids really had fun on their speedy tour of Ledgelawn. I would race a mile for a mini cupcake too.
Thanks also to Bonnie for our new cash box and to Becky O'K for emceeing both events and enduring the bridge closing on Sunday.
About 8 miles for me with Bob Boyd in the AM. We enjoyed the stillness around Eagle Lake. Even the water seemed to be catching its breath.
are so much fun. The kids were all ADORABLE, especially the little black kitty cat! She meowed at me when she ran by!
Vanessa just sent me 87 gorgeous photos from Sunday's Rolling Bones 5K. If you were there, there's a nice shot of you.
Check them out at the Halloween Run photo gallery. (Be sure to go through all the pages)
Thanks, Vanessa!
on the Shore Path. It's different in the dark!
Paid a visit to Aunt Betty and 7 bridges in the AM. PM 5 miles around town beginning on the old Halloween 5K course and then extending out on the new one. Moon was fairly well obscured by clouds tonight; but it peaked out every once in a while.
Thanks again all who helped out with the race this afternoon -- Frank, Chris, Ed, Becky, Lids, and Alyie. You guys make it all seem easy.
Oliver was very proud of his very first medal. He was showing everyone tonight and wants to wear it to school tommorrow. Running is the first sport he's shown interest in, I'm not complaining.
Karen joined me today for a 10 mile workout. We basically worked up to an 8:50 pace which we carried longer then we were expected to, coach would be proud. It was a great workout, Thanks coach!
Not so sure you are going to think Friday's workout is going to be fun, but it will be great.
Started off easy, but got into a fluid cadence and was running close to 6:12's-6:15's with relative ease for about 6 miles.
