Hey Judson, that was WATER RUNNING
Wish I had a pool handy here. I'd water run everyday.
in Seal Harbor with Dasher--out by LLP to the Ampitheater and by Jordan Pond House back by Stanley Brook and home. I agree a gorgeous morning in Maine. Good luck to everybody in the 10k today.
Just wanted to say congrats to Anna Willard from Maine running for Michigan for winning and setting a new NCAA record and college best at the NCAA Championships last night.

I should probably say which event it was.
3000 meter Steeplechase.
Got in my 30 minutes of x-c skiing last night for 2:15 for the day. That ski machine should at least get me into good shape over the next couple of weeks while my mileage is low. Once I make the switch to doubles and triples of running I probably won't bike or ski much. Nothing like running but running.
Today is a day off from running. I may do some x-training.
I got a PR! I got a PR! I got a PR! I got a PR! I got a PR! Please note: It's a PR by TWENTY SECONDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What did you PR in?
In the 1 mile. And it was 30 seconds, sorry.
You are a 6 minute miler now.
I'm jealous.
Congratulations, Nora. You're fast!
Thanks. I'm happy!!! :-D
the mice will have to watch their little tails at the track this summer.
great job!. I got a PR too. It's lots of fun having a great running day. The weather was perfect, too. I enjoyed seeing everyone at the race including Maggie, who was sleeping rather than running yet.
Quotith Mr. Duncan
nice job, guys. See y'all in five days!
was that! I had a great time with the timing. I got chills watching Karen break 50- huge pr for her today! I've got some work to do to see a time like that. All my running buddies were in one big clump, they all did wicked good.
Nora- Way to go with your pr, you looked so determined, I loved it.
Judy- You certainly had a strong run today, awesome job!
I was proud of my boys today too. I could have died watching Elliot come in for the big finish with that great big Eden Athletics hat. I have to admit, he's pretty darn cute.
3.75 for me today.
Great job to the volunteers at today's 10K ... that race was extraordinarily well organized ... volunteers at every corner, water, fast results, food ... well done all around.
I was looking for a nice tempo run and today was perfect ... 6:05 pace, with only a few seconds variation between each mile. Fun, too.
Kudos to Andy Beardsley for running 34-low all alone; that's a nice time on a not-so-easy course. And great job to all the Edeners, who put in a strong showing.
Courtesy of Karen, here are some photos from today in the MDI YMCA Spring Runs photo gallery
Congrats on your PR Nora! I did a PR!!!!!!! too! I love how you wrote that :)
Great day, nice people, enthusiastic volunteers. A great way to start off the Eden Athletics / Jack Russell’s race series.
I am so sorry. DeLaney and I were supposed to volunteer at the refreshment table today, and she slept WAY later than she has been lately. (Which was a lovely treat for me) By the time she was up, there was no way we could've gotten it together and made it on time. :(
Congratulations to everyone; especially Nora and Karen with those PR's! Way to go!
Will be doing my run in a bit....
I echo Matt's comments--that was a very well-organized race on a lovely morning.
I was hoping for a nice tempo run, but it turned into a very hard effort at what I'd hoped would be tempo pace. I think the difficult, injury-riddled winter took quite a toll, as my heart rate today was similar to where it was last year when I ran this race almost a minute per mile faster. Ah well, at least I can be realistic about where I am now and how much work I need to do to get where I want to be.
41 minutes of biking.
with my best friend. Wicked humid, I hope that clears.
Ian graduates from high school tomorrow. I tried to remember my graduation and you know what I remember best? The run I did that morning :P
in town SWH
Season 2 starts next week. Very exciting.
Season Two
Scheduled to begin Friday June 15th, 2007 at 9:00 PM ET/PT
1. Everglades, South Florida - (June 15, 2007)
With two million alligators, thousands of snakes and even black bears, these waterlogged lands have many hazards. Bear Grylls demonstrates how to keep the alligators at bay, deal with vicious razor-sharp grass, and find stomach-churning food that will keep you alive if you found yourself stranded in this beautiful but deadly tourist destination. This water logged wilderness has not changed for thousands of years. It covers over 4000 square miles and last year over 60 tourists died because they didn't have the skills to survive.
1. Iceland - (June 22, 2007) 2. Mexico - (June 29, 2007) 3. Kimberly Australia - (July 6, 2007) 4. Ecuador- July 13, 2007 5. Scotland-July 20, 2007
I know how to survive there, you just need blue face paint and plenty of Irn Bru. P.S. I'll be back in NH in 20 days, and in ME shortly thereafter. I may not be working at Nike this summer, new manager, whom I haven't met yet, but I will be at Pata and TNF for sure.
Tommy McWalters, Bob Jordan, Hannah Whalen, Bob Bachorik, Karen, Matt, Robin, and the Bells are all off to a great start.
running miles for last week was around 24 and knee talked a bit after last run.Laying off for a few days.Nice racing today all! Dave T.
Wonderful to hear the reports from the 10K. Huge congrats to Nora, Judy and Karen for their PR's!!
8 miles for the E'meter from here.

A PR in the mile for Nora, and lots of good 10k times :D
