Judson at New Haven 20-K

...under 1:06 -- a good race with steady pace.

Nice job Judson!

5:18 pace...I think I might be able to do that for 1/2 mile!!! :)

Faster

than a speeding bullet, that guy. Good work, Judson!

ya

he's a fairly decent runner.

Good race, Judson!

Go!

9.5 Sargent's Drive

pushing Kasch with Suzanne pushing Delaney we joined Ginger, & Amy N. (who were finishing up a 3 hour workout). A gorgeous day by the fjord with GREAT company!!!

Labor Day 5-miler

31:05. Slower than last year, but quicker than the last two weekends' 5-milers. Splits were 5:32, 6:08, 6:50, 6:27, 6:05.

Evan won in ~25:40. Behind him were Erik McCarthy, Joe Capehart, Adam Z., Austin, Peter Keeney, Chris Jones, Pete Lodge, Newell......, a few others. Besides Austin, RK, and me, some other Edenistas were Jeff Bruce, Ty, and Robin.

Good race, as always, from the Sub-5 club.

[RK, somehow the results folder I copied turned out to be empty. Email me the results?]

elliptical

for 1 hour. giving my body a rest today.

Labor Day 5-miler: RESULTS

[Thanks, RK!]

Nice going everyone!

Jeez, I hope word never gets out that Austin's only 19.

39

Hey Bruce...I'm 39 and HOLDING :)))

Nice 9 on a perfect day

Ran EL and added on 3. Got to see Joyce, Jill, Shelly, Matt F, Holly, Kevin & Vanessa along the way. I hope I never get over how beautiful our little bit of Paradise is & it was really sparkling today - perfect weather. It was a good vision day too. Lots of good racing and long runs out there by our Eden team. Life is good in the woods.

east of eden and missing it

you guys are making me homesick, all this talk of Sargent Drive and Eagley Lakey.

I moved to college today and it's all fine and good but I'm aching for summer and ocean and island. Jill, I miss you lots (tell Frank I miss him too... he's taking care of "my" lobster traps, right?!)

Just about 8.5 miles with

Ginger, Julie, Kasch (Birthday Boy) and Amy N. Great to meet you, Amy! I had planned on only doing 3-4 miles, but ended up staying with the group to have a great run and wonderful company!

There was one crisis...DeLaney lost her security blanket along the way. Thank goodness we found it when we looped back, otherwise it would have been a long night in the Bracy household! :)

6M around EL

Averaged an 11:07 pace around the lake. It was a beautiful morning. Good to see Holly and Kevin, and Joyce. I think Bob was going a whole lot faster and looping back is why he saw so many more people. I want to be as fast as him. Great run yesterday, Shannon. We need to get you a Garmen. Happy Labor Day everyone.

18.5

or so. The first 90 min. was on a treadmill going downhill -1% to-3% decline. The last 30 min. I ran just under marathon goal pace, which was 8:49. Amy was right by my side doing the same thing. We went outside and ran for another 85 min. with the rest of the gang on Sargent's Drive. Great to run with Suzanne, luckily she did most of the talking and I just listened, I was pretty tired. I was supposed to do pick ups, but today wasn't the day for those:) It was all I could do to keep up with Suzanne AND DeLaney on the hills.

I hope we can get a lot of Eden support on the MDI Marathon course for Suzanne and Julie. I will be there for THEM. They're doing such a great job with their training. It's going to be awesome to follow them along the way.

Hey

You earned every slice of pizza you eat tonight! :)

whole pizza

I ate a small Hawaiian pizza myself, and we're not talking personal pan size either. I had a 2 hour nap too!

pizza jealousy!

I'm back to dining commons food, icky. I tried two bites of about five different things and nothing tasted good :(

I wonder if I can survive on pbj and chocolate soymilk! (and a multivitamin or two...)

CHEATER!!!

Amy & I did pickups for the first 5 miles, then found out you & Suzanne weren't doing them anymore! I think you need to be punished....Any ideas Judson???? :)

What!!

I never thought you gal's would follow thru without me yellin at ya:) That's it! I'm going outside right now to do them all at once! The only reason why I didn't do them was sometimes I like to rebel and not do what I'm told, NOT because I was tired and stayed out too late last night:|

Rachael

too:)

18 Miles

biking on a beautiful day. Nice to see everyone out on the trails today. Hike yesterday of about 3 Miles and 3.5 mile run on Saturday also for the edenometer. Next High School Cross Country meet tomorrow in Bucksport at 4PM.

Steamtown Marathon

is on the upcoming events list. Yippee! Thanks to whoever put that up. Brian must have done that.

Chicago Marathon

hasn't even made it up yet, I must be famous.

weekend

A nice easy 30 minutes in New Haven Friday evening.

73 minutes on Saturday.

Today was 16+ minute warmup, 20-k race, then about a 22 minute cooldown.

Race was good. My watch got wet again so it died at mile 9 so I've got to wait a few days before it comes back on to get the splits, but I had about 50+ guys drag me through the first mile in about 5:04 and even though that sounds faster than I should have gone out, it was flat and with all those people pulling me along I would have used more energy running a 5:20 mile all by myself. Next couple miles were 5:21 and 5:21 and I remember getting to 5-k in 16:22.
10-k was about 32:40ish. The clock at mile 10 said 53:00, mile 11 was 58:18ish and mile 12 was 1:03:37ish and the finish was 1:05:58, about 2 minutes faster than I ran last year. Good since it was warmer and more humid than last year.
