19 degrees... perfect

7M

winter route - what a perfect day for a run. Got the little pepple out of my shoe as well - rock out!

Just a 2M walk on

the treadmill for me. I think "08 is going to be a year of 2M/1/2 hour walks three days a week. Ugh.

Duck Brook

Snowshoed around Duck Brook without Paradise hill. It was a workout there were about 8 cross country skiers while I did my loop. If anyone cross country skis the grooves are cut nice and clean. Jean worked.

Jean--Don

rest day

surviving it one hour at a time.

I'm trying to decide whether it's better to take a day off and prevent hitting that "under rested" feeling, or to let it set in and then take the day off.

6 miles....

I was tempted to stay home after all day outside, but I dragged myself down and ran anyway. It always feels better to do it. Aylie hang in there, there's more to life than getting in a workout :)

yeah yeah, the "normal people things"

I LIKE being wrapped up in Swim Bike Run Rinse Repeat.

6ish?

Did hill work (some in snow, some not) with Brian and Ginger, supervised by Coach Cake.

Came home and added 4 easy on the TM.

It was beautiful out there this morning!

Just a few..

and no rowing today. Tell us more about the hill workout..

2.5/3ish

for the day, plus 100 crunches! It was fun running in snow with Suzanne and Brian. Judson stopped traffic for us while we did our 5 hill repeats on Rt.3 by the beach. Half way up the hill I thought "holy cow, Brian's not pulling away from me" and then he shifted into some supernatural gear and sped away from me. I tried so hard to stay with him, it was amazing how impossible it was. Suzanne did great, it was her first official day of speedwork and seemed happy and ready for whatever was put in front of her. I guess I feel ready to run my marathon, I felt ready before though, oh well.

by the

beach

ohhh I just got island-homesick. A mid week escape needs to happen soon.

Ginger, who's going to Florida with you? I hope whoever it is can catch up when you're running after a bus that's going to leave in two seconds ;-)

I agree

Brain does have some sort of supernatural gear! :)

33 miles bike,core

not sure why 33 miles.Larry Bird's jersey number so good karma. Then again his career was cut short because of injuries so maybe not ha,ha.

Good luck Ginger

you have done your homework and have excellent input from one of the best runners in New England,Judson,so you are ready.Try not to anticipate the race it's 10 days out.Pondering it too much will stress you out.Relax I hope you have a killer marathon.

Thank you

Dave. Good advice.

45

30 minutes on the bike while Brian ran a 20 minute tempo run on the treadmill after his hill work with the ladies. Then 45 minutes on the treadmill with Matt H. in the evening. short weight lifting session to start bulking up Matt a little.

And Brian, Liddy, Matt, Sara, and I did a core session with Maggie helping. Pays to live on Ledgelawn.

6

on a treadmill, hitting buttons to entertain myself. My jogger is buried in the snow--I need to unearth it if I ever want to get a run in outside again. Great job on the hills guys, and nice to hear you're on snowshoes Don.

I think

buying DeLaney's weather shield, and feeling all prepared for some cooler weather, jinxed us! :(

I wasn't prepared for THIS!! (We both miss running outside together and the great baby jogger company we had!)

Thursday tally

50 miles
