New Automated Edenometer!

Exciting news! Eden Athletics now has a new, automated system for tracking our miles! As many of you know, for the past two years, the task of tracking the Edenquest's progress around the globe has been a completely manual process, requiring someone (thank you, Frank and Alyie!) to tally the miles posted each day by all of our members. For obvious reasons, we are interested in a system which will not place this burden on only one or two people. During the next couple of weeks, we would like members to become familiar with the process of logging miles using the new Edenometer, so that we can officially launch the system on January 1st.

This is not intended in any way to replace the daily log, and in fact, the Edenometer is designed to track numbers only. Please continue to use the daily log as you are using it now, as it is the energy and emotion of your entries which serve to keep us all motivated and inspired. Once you post your run on the website, click on the link to the Edenometer (located in the gray bar across the top of the EA webpage) and make your quick numerical entry there as well.

The Edenometer uses a system designed by Google which allows multiple users to enter data. As such, it requires each user to have an account with Google. This is free, and can be done simply by choosing a username and a password, much like our current website. When you click on the link below, if you do not already have an account with Google, you can create one, and then will be directed to the Edenometer.

For now, only the runners who post regularly on our website are listed, but others can easily be added to the list. If you do not see your name on the list, and would it to be there, please email me ( edenometer@edenathletics.com) and I will add it right away. The more miles, the merrier!

So check it out, have fun with it, and let me know what you think!

I've been replaced :-(

just kidding, the shared spreadsheet is actually quite awesome. Chris, thanks for designing it.

can someone make my name pretty colors?

I don't know how... bright blue and orange would be nice!!!

Shannon's name is green and RK's is red and I feel left out.

Ooooohhh

I want pink! :) lol

thanks

to whoever put my name in blue!!!

Glad to see

that people are finding fun things to do with the Edenometer. Looks like RK has discovered how to add comments to his entries, which may be the answer to John's question about how to record pace/time. Highlight your cell, click "insert", then type in your comment. Thanks, RK!

I was just adding green to the list

to complement RK's name in red for this week which holds Christmas. I'm going to be plain old black for the rest of the year. : ) That's a pretty smart trick, adding the routes and times. Yet another reason I need a running partner who thinks while they run.

I like the little comments

they are fun to read!

Also cool to have some new people logging miles. Welcome welcome

Can

someone help me? I was trying to see if there was a darker pink, and then DeLaney hit a button, and now my name is a blank pink square. Can someone restore my pink name as I am not savvy enough to figure it out? (Note to self- don't open spreadsheets when there are toddlers around!)

How's that?

;-)

Perfect!

Thank you! Will it stay that way? I hope so...I need to match my new pink fuel belt you know! :)

hey Judson I like the pink

is that the official color of team 007?
