SPRING 2008

Howdy all! It's been a while since I've posted.

Just a quick reminder that although our lives are primarily in winter mode with the cold and snow that we've had so far this winter, here in RETAIL world it is SPRING! That means that all of the running shoe companies Spring 2008 lines have been released. Here at Cadillac http://www.cadillacsports.com it's been a few years since we brought in much new inventory this early. But this year I've been able to bring in the new Asics running shoes about three months earlier than usual. For Spring they update their Stability line (actually, they call it "structured cushioning" but same thing) which is the Gel-Kayano(14) and the 2000 series which is now the GT-2130. These are both available at the Ellsworth store right now. Bar Harbor should get them in a week or two. We don't carry them but these are available in widths too. Ask and we'll special order them for you.
Asics's neutral cushion shoes don't get updated until "fall" (June or July) so the Nimbus9 and Cumulus9 are still in the line. In fact, I just got in an order of both so we have good size runs in both stores.
We'll be getting new shoes from Mizuno and some New Balance later in the Spring.
Also, even though we may not have the lines represented in the stores, we are happy to special order shoes from other vendors if that's where your loyalty lies. We have accounts with:
Brooks, Saucony, Pearl Izumi, Adidas, Puma and Diadora.

I'm also thinking about bringing in that "Chi Running" book. Does anybody know about this? Is it real or is it just a fad?

OK, that's your update for now.
Don't forget that you Eden members get 10% off your running shoes at Cadillac, even if they're already on sale. Not only that, but we'll price match anybody in Maine. If you see a shoe somewhere else that's priced lower, even sale prices, as long as it's the same shoe model and color, we'll match that price.

Thanks,
Peter B.

Thanks for checking in Peter..

and for sharing information about the Spring 2008 lines.

I can't speak to Chi Running personally but we have had a member or two attend programs on it. Perhaps they will weigh in. I think it's more than a fad. Who wouldn't want to run downhill all the time...

Wow, price match

That's a great offer Peter, thanks. I looked into chi running a year or two back, and know that Lou has attended seminars on it. It's definitely not a fad, other than possibly the name. The very base of it is simply efficient running. If you watch elite athletes run, they have the components of chi running down already.

we

missed it the old town y had a clinic on chi running in dec. the day before Epic 5k maybe the club / and or the mdi y can get the same person I had talked to Karen s. and we were planning on going but the weather was crappy that day so we did not go i have the vhs tape if anyone wants to watch it
