Nice day out eh?

7.6 mi

bad Alyie
good run

kinda upset this morning and just needed to feel centered.

5500 scy

400 swim
4 x 100 k/sw/dr/sw on 1:45
4 x 100 pull on 1:30 desc (1:17, 1:15, 1:14, 1:13)
400 swim

3 x [4 x 100 on 1:20 + 200 easy]
12 x 125 on 1:45

200 kick
8 x 50 on :45 c/d

1:13s on the 100s, not bad for being tired. I liked that main set, hello pain well

ummmmm

bet ya can't run just 1 mile the next time

I wouldn't bet against that

a single mile wasn't going to do it this morning

Stairs, Baby!!!

5 sets of 27 floors at about a 5 minute pace. Some bis, tris & chest, too.

Maybe I'll sign up for Boston today ...

Frank, I got the T-shirt, thanks. Sorry, we didn't connect during the summer to avoid the postage. Thanks, again.

Keep running!

that's a killer workout Steve

on the stairs.27 floors.I used to run the stairs at Conn Financial Center on Church St. back when I lived in New Haven,CT.27 floors tallest building in the city.A good workout although air quality was suspect along with concrete surface tough on the knees.

Thanks ...

I find it fun in a sick sort of way. I want to work up to 7 sets. Stairs on Friday!

Keep running!

3 miles

gotta rest up for tomorrow's long run with Suzy Q. I think the plan is to run to the Bangor Mall, have lunch then grab a taxi or ambulance back to the island.

Sounds about right!

If we are riding the ambulance back, let's have good wine with lunch! hehe

6.25 miles easy TM

The last .25 was a brisk walk while DeLaney and I chatted as she played in her playpen next to me.
Bike later....

oh good

your legs will be all tired out tomorrow and you'll have to go easy, yay!!:) Hey, wait a min... you're the granny not me.

I'm

the Granny, but you're the one who naps- that makes us even.

Even though I'm sure my new haircut will really make me much more speedy, we BETTER go easy tomorrow! LOL

napping is a college student habit

and my mom says Ginger still can be mistaken for a college student, so she's all set.

I nap too :)

Hmmm...

I'm a Granny AND a college student, yet I don't nap. I guess that puts me in a category all my own! :)

OK, I'll stop clogging up the Daily Log now!

Suzanne, what classes are you taking?

I've got:

Kinesiology
Nutrition for Sports and Exercise
Teaching Adaptive Physical Education
Exercise Prescription and Leadership
Chemistry Part II

I like 'em all so far.

I'm only

half time right now...I think it's all I could handle!

Intrapersonal Communication
The Art of Listening to Music

Last semester was Lifetime Physical Fitness and Wellness and Intro to Lit.

I just started class this past Monday, so far so good...but I do feel overwhelmed sometimes being a wife, Mom, student, training for a marathon....not enough hours in the day! (Good thing my classes are online right now and I can do it when DeLaney goes to bed at night!)

so what will your degree be in?

I'll wind up with an exercise science degree - and I'm using it as a sptingboard for med school. I want to go to UNE, I like the osteopathic philosophy. Plus I hear Biddeford's on the Maine coast. Anyway, thus the chem... next fall I'll be taking all pre med stuff, as I should finish most of my exercise science requirements this spring.

ooohhhh no

don't you know about trying to do any kind of strength workout after a hair cut my money is on Ginger's tired legs

my guess

is this long run isn't supposed to be easy. Judson knows what happens when the two of us run together- that's why he wants us to run this together so badly. I mean, I almost ended up in Dr. Mark's office after the Cromwell hill workout. I have to say, I get all confused now when he tells me to run with Grandma on my easy days.

9 miles bike

Legs should be fine in the morning since I got the biking done early.

Rest and relaxation for the rest of the day....crunches and situps are done too. :)

6.2

on the virtual river.

9 miles treadmill 64:00,core

no incline for this run.Easy with fartleks throughout.Feeling more in shape by the day.

3

SLOW, medium, quicker for the miles. And then a dead sprint to work with wet hair.

7 miles

on the mill.

6m on the ET

I figured it was past time to start increasing the workload so upped the resistance for 15 of the 53 mins. It's a start. Life is good in the neighborhood.

sat. am

Be careful out there today Ginger and Suzanne the running surface around Ellsworth are about the worst to run on we have had most of this season
it is like running on the moon without having to take a space ship ride
Well off to do my HILL WORKOUT
Ginger call me I will have my phone with me 266/2556

Day off

Day off.

Just felt like resting, so I did.
