Go run in the snow

40 minutes

peaceful run in the snow as the sun came up.

Looks like snow for the next 4 days.

there are a whole bunch of reasons

I need to rest today, so lets see if I make it...

Good luck

You can do it! :)

I am not coping very well

but I will survive the rest day... I had to come home for a doctor's appt, my doctor wanted to "punch biopsy" a spot on my knee. It's not that big but still needed a couple stitches and she said "no running for the rest of the day." She knows me too well...

Grrrrr. On the upside of things maybe my resting HR will be back to normal tomorrow morning, it's been ummm climbing lately.

Yes

You WILL make it through this day, you are almost there! Maybe that heart rate is climbing because of chemistry! LOL (I don't envy you taking that class.) I did get a 95 on my music exam yesterday, and I am pretty darn happy about that! :)

today would be a great time to get chem done

except I am too anxious to focus on it :(

I have tried every other coping mechanism I have today... not working

3.5M Quad-buster Workout

in 26:30 includes 5 min w/u then 20 min @ 8.3 mph(7:13p) & 2% grade plus a little cool down to make it 3.5M total. Then jumped on a stationary recumbent bike for 20 min.: 1 min EZ @ level 14 of 20; then 2 min. hard @ level 19; 2min.EZ; 2 min hard for a total of 5 x 2min. hard. My heart rate settled at 141 on the EZ and 158 on the hard. It's amazing how 17 pbm can feel so different. Coach said this was a quad-buster workout, but I felt it more in the butt after the bike.

Stay tuned to Stairs tomorrow!

Keep running!

Good

Don't worry, your quads will benefit.

Level 14

Is that the resistance? I'm WAY out of shape, I keep my bike on 1 and it still kicks my butt! LOL

Great workout, Steve...you rock!

Okay, wait a minute

If you're out of shape Suzanne, there are a lot of us who now need to consider ourselves puddles of goo! You're doing great, and obviously so is Steve and his up-to-level-19 bike workout after a decent run. You all keep up the good work as I fully enjoy an easy day and refuse to feel like a slacker. ; )

Thanks ...

but it's Coach's fault. I was suppose to run up & down hills hard but this was the alternative workout if the weather didn't allow an outside appearance (Beacon Hill would have been too slippery). Levels on all pieces of equipment are different. Level 14 on one could be equivalent to a level 1 on another.

Keep running!

Don't worry

I think Suzanne's bike is set up differently.

60 min.

with Bozo and Karen. I was only supposed to run 50 min., and really it probably didn't amount to much more than 5 miles. We ran easy and it was darn nice! Bozo's a great runner.

4 miles TM

Nice and easy. Crunches and pushups are done, and I can bike (at Level 1 LOL) while DeLaney takes her second nap since I am caught up on all my homework. :)

homework

I have 3 chapters of chem homework to do that I don't understand, and a test next Wednesday. The only reason I am taking Chem II is so I can get into medical school, but how am I going to be able to understand med school stuff if I can't even do relatively basic chemistry... chemistry is like stress city right now

7.1m on the bridges

Did some weights and squats pre-run. We are hill deprived in these parts so have to go looking for ups & downs. The bridges along the river downtown do quite nicely and I enjoyed the run with Gary.

Nice workout, Steve. Wonder if you'll feel those quads tomorrow.

Life is good.

10 miles bike

Plus....I mailed out my Flattop 5K pre-reg. I want to snag one of those hats! :)

8 miles

plus the equivalent of many burpees while my Dad and I tile my bathroom. As the "first assistant in charge of monkey work", I end up schlepping the boxes of tile, adding yet another dimension to the workout.

send some pictures....

of you and Dad's work. Bonnie

heavy

those tiles can be heavy. Be careful.

60 mins of snow running.....

lurvey spring road out onto echo lake and back. Not very fast, but great fun. Ran with Scott F. He didn't like that one much.

6 miles

three run/three row... both pretty easy. I heard a spot for Medtronic today on the radio. The focus of the short ad was Medtronic's effort to recruit runners who have benefited from their products (pacemakers?) to run the Twin Cities Marathon in October.

Nice

wedding pic of Evan in the paper today!

4.5

slow on the mill. The only thing significant about this run is I did it. Two weeks ago I would have skipped it.

Thanks SHANNON AND ( Ginger)

thanks SHANNON
for getting the Ellsworth Ameriacn reporter to call me !!!!!!
just for that if you do run the s/s run i will let you wear my 100 year old pair that are wooden and when they get wet, gain weight faster than i do in the winter ( wait scratch that this was suppose to be funny and that was not)

another lesson learned !!!!!!!

NEVER talk to a reporter while you have GINGER on a three way call on speaker phone @##$%^^&
during the interview I get a calll from GGGG
well HERE IS is a QUOTE from Ginger about snowshoe running that will not be in the paper I hope.

Ginger said "tell her that snowshoe running is a lot like sex.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE GOOD AT IT TO ENJOY IT "

GINGER
I AM SURE THAT IS NOT WHAT SHE IS LOOKING FOR!!!!!

GINGER STOP TRYING TO HELP

HAVING GINGER ON YOUR SIDE IS LIKE GETTING BACKING FROM FROM TED KENNEDY IN YOUR BID FOR THE WHITE HOUSE( YOU WONDER WHAT YOU DID WRONG TO DESERVE THIS)

I can do this interview all by myself

NOW THIS IS A SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION
THE INTERVEIW IS GOING TO BE IN THE LIFE STYLE SECTION OF THE 2/14 ISSUE WITH PHOTO'S OF THE RUN ON SAT.
NOW ON TO REAL ISSUES
AYLIE
STOP FUSSING ABOUT THE CHEM. STUFF IF WE GET HILLARY CARE I AM SURE THERE WILL BE NO CHEMISTRY ( AND EVEN LESS MEDICINE )

WITH ALL THE DEMS. FLOCKING TO BANGOR AND ORONO THIS WEEKEND I AM WORRIED THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE
TO GET TO HERMON MNT AFTER THE RACE.

AND BACK TO GINGER I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE " YOU SAID THAT TO HER " HA/HA NOW I KNOW WHY THERE IS AN IGNORE SLASH- BUTTON ON THE PHONE SCREEN

NEXT TIME I WILL JUST CALL HER BACK AND NOT GET IN THESE MESSES

Tom

Tom, You're in rare form this morning:)

Did you see the question on winter running traction in the Forum? It sounds like he's asking about the shoes you own.

fussing

I'm about ready to drop the class, to be honest.

TOM KIRBY!

I thought I told you not to share that information with the website.
