Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and your feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed. Charlie Schultz

yeh but I went swimming today at the pool...first time in 2 years I think. Did some laps...hummmm that's all for now.

resting,

still sick.

When I am healthy
and my resting HR is back to normal
I will go back to causing trouble

Until then
if you are looking for me
I will be on the couch

4 miles with my girls, strides too

CeCelia needed to run a few errands in BH for the upcoming charity run for Interact Club, so we ran on the Schooner Head Rd. It was colder than I thought, and I was worried about DeLaney....but between the weather shield, cozy one piece fleece, and blankets, she seemed happy as a clam.

10 miles bike

Crunches and pushups, too.

If runner were good for your feet

I wouldn't have a job.

run

It was over 80 minutes with warmup and cool down.

Evan and I ran a solid workout. We saw a bunch of other Eden runners out and about, sorry we didn't say hi, we were really working hard.

We ran 10x3-minutes with 90 seconds float. The 3 minute intervals were supposed to be 4:55 pace, but we ran them faster. The first 2 went pretty well although I was hanging on to Evan for most of the second on. The last minute of the 3rd one I fell off Evan's mad pace and the 4th and 5th ones Evan got away from me right from the start although I managed to stay within a couple of seconds on the 5th one. Evan was really flying and not letting up. For whatever reason things went better the final half of the workout and the 6th and 7th ones I stayed even up with Evan and actually was pushing the pace a little. Brian came around the corner as we were starting our 7th one and Evan and I surged up a hill with the extra motivation. That really hurt. We were both going at full speed. our 90 seconds rest was a 90 second float, so it was at least normal training pace which made the workout really tough. The 8th, 9th and 10th ones seemed easier and I was able to repay Evan for the the first half of the workout. Still, like my first half, he fell off a little, but not by much and he kept fighting all the way. It was really great to have him around. For sure we helped each other. Plus Brian stayed with us in his car for the last part of the workout and yelled at us. I do remember seeing Karen during our float between the 9th and 10th ones although I was way too tired to do more than wave. Dynamic duo seems to still be working together.

More mill work

5.5 total. Ran 4 easy then spiced up the last 1.5 miles with 8 x 30 seconds hard with a minute recovery. I call them strides when I do them on a track, but these felt more like bursts of desperately trying not to get spit off the back of the mill with much arm and leg flailing. Smooth I am not at the moment.

So, what's up with all the snow? That makes weekend long runs a lot more challenging, eh?

Yup

I usually love snow, but enough is enough! :)

9.4m - none of it running

Had a great 5m walk with my Valentine about the hood and then did 4.4 on the ET. 5m run along the river yesterday with John & another 2 on the ET. 7m on the ET Weds. with 5x3 min intervals, 1x4 min, & 1x1 min just to get to 20 of speed. 1 min recoveries.

Good workout Judson. The write-up was so good I almost got tired reading it.

Alyie, get well fast!

A belated "Happy Birthday" Shannon. Hope the celebration is still going on.

Life is good in the neighborhood.

Yesterday afternoon for the Calais / Houlton game - I met the Davis family! Ty is doing very well! He says Hi, go Blue Devils and hopes everyone is running smooth. Sounds like Ty is doing some serious cross training playing Tennis for Calais. Tab and Terry are doing great - They're excited because Ty has his drivers permit!
