What's your run?
Have a great long run, Ginger!
My March Stats: Crunches- 3100 Pushups- 1085 Bike- 10 miles (will get back to that eventually) Run- 188.31 miles
Not bad numbers for being sick and all...
I was planning on pounding out the last 4 miles fast, that darn wall came up and hit me in the face though. I get all pumped up and I think I'm Emily LeVan but my body quickly reminds me who I really am; I did not enjoy those last few miles. I was pushing hard but not really covering as much ground as I wanted to, but still managed a decent negative split, so I'm quite happy.
You just made me realize something. I never hit a wall yesterday! Yay! My worst issue was pain in the last hour from the forming blisters. I am so happy to come away with positives from a run that left me not 100% pleased. Another positive is that I am still alive...almost got hit twice. Thank God I was paying close attention.
Congrats on your negative split; awesome to do that in a run that long. Yup, my split definitely was NOT negative. You're a Rock Star, told ya.
I could help:)
S: 80,000 yds B: 8 hrs R: 144.3 mi
First 1/4M walk, next 1/4 M build up to MP (7.8mph), 2M @ MP, then a cool down. Upper body lifting workout and a quick stretch. Quads feel a little beat-up as the Boston course always does.
Keep running!
Hello Eden people,

Take a look around the brand-new website, share some of your experiences on the message board, and expand your awareness of the Maine running community. And, get a chance to win a new t-shirt! (as if you don't have enough already from all the races you've done)
Keep up the good running everyone!

Like a good deal Gomez.
Any of the Spuds going to the 5-k this weekend in Rockland?
10-miles with Matt F.
Was supposed to do my last long run yesterday, but skied instead so I did my 21-miles this morning. Ran from Tenants Harbor to Camden; what fun, I think??!!??!!
Go girl! Isn't it nice to have the last long one in the bank? :)
I think I'll be happier in a few more weeks, all this playing is hard work. Kayak racing on Saturday's, skiing on Sundays and do long runs on Monday's is tough, I just don't know if I'll ever have time to go back to work!! (Kidding)I still have a 15.5 miler to do next week and then a 9-miler the following week before it all slows down; I think?????? But I'm not complaining, we are all VERY lucky our bodies let us do this.
P.S. Anyone else still doing runs that long before Boston?
I was going to try to run 20 miles but I was just too exhausted to go a step further once 3 hrs. rolled around. It's hard to imagine running for an hour longer, faster than the pace I ran today. Looking forward to the magical challenge at Sugarloaf. I'm happy:)
I hit 3 hours and I wasn't home yet. Normally I would try to get to 20 miles, but I walked home. Too tired, feet hurt too bad. Was MORE than happy to walk as soon as my watch said 3:00:00!!
Nice run, Ginger!
wow I'm tired. Legs felt good though. And I'm back in Maine
around Bangor, this time on Ryan's route (he says it's 7, I calculated it over 7.2). Made it at 58:37. I ran with Ryan on this route; it's only the second or third time I haven't run solo.
I think today made me appreciate the benefits of group running or running with someone else. Today was an off-day for my legs (very fatigued for some reason) and the conversation got me through it much easier.
you ran a stellar race on Sat. you should be fatigued.
And now that I think of it, I really should have kept it a short, light run today, but I really wanted to run on Ryan's route and feel what it's like to go on an old Sub5 training route through the city.
Instead of my Tuesday speed interval, I'll just make it a 'gym day' and give my legs a bit of a break. I still need to get below the Clydesdale level in weight so the elliptical workouts will do me some good.
I almost always feel o.k. the day after a race it is the sec. day when I feel sluggish i think it is because we are still a little high from the race if it went well and the next day is the let down I try to take one days rest ./recovery or bike/ run for every mile I race so if i run a 5 miler i don"t have to train much before the next weekend race and then start it all over again so my weekly mileage is low compared to most but i seem to do ok with it and i have followed that plan for a couple of years now
Flat Top? Folks scattered across the Eden landscape would love to see them. Congrats again on a successful race and a great kick off for the Points Series.
Hope some of you were watching the Davidson Wildcats last night... Falmouth product Bryant Barr went 4-6 against Kansas and helped keep Davidson close in the second half. He was dialed in from the 207, hitting 3 of 4 from 3-point land.
... with Vanessa along the St. Johns River. Rest day here. I've been too long away from the Daily Log. Clearly some great monthly stats and runs Suzanne, Ginger, Alyie, & Paula. Keep up the good work
