Spring is here.
Teamed up with another Rock Coast Runner member to do 8-miles with hill repeats, I think he was trying to kill me! Plan to paddle 15-miles later, I'm sure that will be easier.
Progressive run with Amy and Karen. Great company and nice strong run. 3m w/u then worked down to 7:50 pace.
Thanks for the great workout Ginger! I'm very impressed with the improvements you've made lately. I was huffing and puffing and you seemed comfortable. Also, after 11 miles I could not have continued to increase the pace for 4 more miles. Well done!
Ginger is on fire these days!
Draft is on today. Its pretty cool to see these athletes make the jump to elite level. It's always fun to see the athletes who have reached the highest level in there sport and listen to what they have to say. There mindset is so cool.
my legs were throbbing during my nap, I'm a little worried about the stairs at Galyn's, especially since I'm upstairs tonight. It's quite a sight to see me go up those stairs after a workout or long run. It's not so much that they hurt on the stairs, my entire body just get's fatigued by the time I reach the top.
Karen, I really didn't increase the pace much, flying down over those hills by the lab with you didn't allow for it. I'm happy, though.
Do you ever soak in a cold bath after a hard effort? I've become a big fan of it....your legs will feel great afterwards and that may help with those stairs after a long run...
just 20 min. on the elliptical and some weights.
Keep running!
got the run done. Heavy Legs.
There will not be a Saucony 5K in Bangor on Mother's Day..it's official.
There are already plenty of races that weekend.
yeah, afternoon run. The compulsive voices got me again

...with Shannon, Adria, Zoe, and DeLaney. A perfect run. Then....I got a HUGE wave from Tom when I passed him in town. Who can ask for more? :)
and although I missed the big wave from Tom I did run into Danson and a crew of others I knew which was nice. And the girls and I hopped around on rocks at the town dock and created a 'house' under one of the floats. Awfully nice day out.
(when more traning isn't really an option) is going to the bookstore and reading magazines - they need TRIATHLETE by the way - but guess what I found! Runners World has a couple pages of stuff about Trials qualifiers, and there are 2 nice pictures of Emily LeVan and Maddie. And Outside has Acadia listed as a cool travel destination.
(on the list of my life goals: I want a column in Outside. or to model for them)
i have 10-12 years worth in my garage if you want them
Snuck out for a noon run--couldn't let this lovely week go totally to waste, and this might have been my only chance for a mid-day run. Went to Sieur de Monts then along the Loop Road to Schooner Head then back on Schooner Head Road. I was just looking for a steady run, but my second mile was a 7:34 up and over the big hill then I ran 6:48 coming back down. So I kept up a good effort and ran 7:02, 6:48 and a "warmdown" 7:30. 43:49 total for 6 miles. It was my first outside run in shorts, so maybe that did it for me.
I hope to run in shorts tomorrow. I still feel chilly. When I ran with Shannon, she had a tshirt on and I had two long sleeve layers. LOL
pigfarm-seawall picnic area loop. The pigfarm road and me are getting in better shape every day! Judson has a photo in New england runner.
Out on the Marathon course. Out to the 12 mile mark in 78 minutes, then down to the Northeast harbor pier for 80 minutes total.
Windy going out to mile 6. But after that the run was nice. My car was waiting for me in NE and I went to the track with Brian and he did super sets.
you 11 for that. Now that you're a hotshot on the Edenometer you can change it if I'm wrong.
Is a super set a specific thing? Or does that mean he just did a fabulous workout? I feel silly asking, but I'm curious! :)
is in your email box.
Went to the gym on my lunch break, but couldn't resist the temptation to run again today, so I took a short and easy one after work. 22:56.
