What's your run?

75 min

running. In my Eden singlet :P I actually looked pretty cute today: the red and while on that, white/green shoes, and black shorts. Incline 1% except for the cooldown.

Hi Alyie

You seem to do a lot of swimming, are you on a team somewhere or are you a triathlete? Are you at UMO?

half-iron tri

is my race.

Yes - U Maine student. Tried swimming on the team, didn't like it. Am a fishy by trade though! And the pool still feels like home.

Swim

My son also goes to UMO and lives in Old Town. I usually swim at the Y in Old Town or Bangor when I"m up there, should meet up with you sometime, would love to have someone show me how to swim correctly.

only here for another couple days

due to finals and such. Then I'll be in Skowhegan for 10 days, then on MDI for the summer. But I would be happy to help you, let me know if we're in the same location.

95 min

cycling! Windy out, legs felt strong. Now they're pretty thrashed.

Running again

Can't wait for those feet forever, back to running and got in 7-miles before 7 this morning and it felt GREAT:)

6.38 miles /Camel hump workout

flat, hill, flat x 8 @ 5k pace. I don't know.. probably under 3 min per set. Felt good once I got the hang of it; blasting off isn't a good idea, but I'm so good at it:) Great learning experience today.

April training totals

Good month. For training and racing :D

Swim - 102, 900 yds
Bike - 6 h 15 min
Run - 204.7 mi
Water run - 1 h 15 min

8.64 miles (workout)

Let's see....warmup, 1 mile @ 7:18, then 3 min easy getting to my hill. I used Long Hill for 10 repeats; on the gradual side I did 5 X 90 seconds at 10-k effort, and on the steep side I did 5 X 30 seconds hard. Recoveries were getting back to the bottom of each side of the hill. After the last set, I went back to one more fast mile (7:22). Then a cooldown.

The fast miles were supposed to be 7:30, so I was close, but still need to work on pacing.

April Stats:
Bike- 0
Crunches- 3,000
Pushups- 1,200
Run- 207.76

nice workout!

You're going to be AMAZING at Sugarloaf.

Thank you!

I'm getting pretty excited. My Mom has a medical procedure on the 14th, so I am praying that goes well and we will have it behind us for the race. Plus, I will have a pretty big cheering section, which will be really fun!

I agree

great job, Suzanne!

6 miles

46:29, on my 5-mile home loop, except from work. I ran with RK and he put me through some stride drills on the downhills of the route. It'll help me out a lot if I run into another course with a hill like Unity's.

Tomorrow I'll be going with him to run the Hampden Father's Day course (8.5 miles). I also planned out my 15-mile route that I want to run by this weekend or early next week.

6M

i've literally lost my voice the past few days because of allergies. Ole Spot and I have been gearing up for the Great TV Auction starting soon.

6 miles....

out to seal cove and back from my house. Park road isn't open for traffic yet, and is perfect for hilly running.

8 miles

Lots of sunshine and a nice light breeze.

MDI MIddle School Track...

...has their first meet of the season tomorrow! We will be at the Ellsworth Middle School with a 4pm start. Come cheer us on if you are in the area!

10k

on the machine. Not on the open ocean!

Good workouts Ginger and Suzanne. It's been great to watch you both train with purpose and make progress over the past few months.

Old Running Shoes

We have about 10-12 pair of old shoes does anyone know where they can be donated? There was a club in Mass that collected old shoes and sent them off to So. America.

6.5 miles

Enjoyed a lovely evening run with Shannon from downtown. Went out to Great Meadow for some looping around on the trails, then looped around a bit in town b/c I was too geeky to stop at 5.7. Legs felt a little creaky, otherwise it was good.

"Too geeky to stop at 5.7"...

...you're my kind of guy! :)

7m & our appreciation

... for all the condolences, hugs, & kind words regarding our recent loss. We have much to be thankful for and our friends are high on that list. Our thanks to each of you.

Got to do some speed work with our class, which was at least as good for me as our athletes. Vanessa enjoyed herself too, logging about 3.5. Mighty fine monthly totals Alyie & Suzanne! Ditto to Frank's observation, Ginger & Suzanne. Keep having fun. Life is good.
