What's your run?

12

91:58

my Feel Good practice

cranky from hypoglycemia so I did my favorite set. It got worse and then all of a sudden I felt fine, and butterfly felt soooo sexy. That stroke on a good day has got to be the best you can possibly ever feel.

600 w/u
20 x 100 on 1:20
8 x 25 fly
200 free
8 x 25 fly
200 c/d

day off

from running anyways.

Stairs, Baby!

3 sets of 27 floors just to keep me honest. 5 min on the bike and 10 min. on the 'liptical for a w/u before stairs. Then some vanity lifiting: bis, tris & pecs (Van-i-ty: the quality of being personally vain; NOT a dressing table).

Keep running!

Stephen Kirby

won the mile, running 5:10 at the track meet last night. The kid's got talent!

woops

5:20, I mean. He ran 2:30 for the 800.

Yep, that's quick

especially when you consider how hard he trains in his off season. : )

Does he

take after his father?!

Gym Day

Giving my legs a day of rest before putting them through the long run tomorrow.

Have a great

long one, tomorrow!

4 miles EL

with DeLaney. Then some strides. Then, DeLaney got out of the jogger and we walked together. By then we had worked up an appetite so we went to Jordan's for a big breakfast. YUM.

My legs feel good today. Yay.

3.5 Miles

on the ET and weights. MDI High School track meet tonight at 4:00--should be a good night for one! Saturday morning run at 8:30 meeting at EL and doing 8 miles--Aunt Betty's loop..

poor Shannon

she " fell for the old rubber nail in the tire trick "
if that did not work they would have tried the worn out tread canvas showing steel belt iron on patch trick atleast she did not have all the winter air taken out and replaced with summer air like GINGER did !!!!

where's Judson?

he used to post here, is something wrong?

6 miles

both yesterday and today, kept indoors by pollen one day and t-storms the next.

Way to go Stephen K.!

5.2

Nice run Stephen Kirby...keep it going!

Anne Lundblad's first ultra..and a great excuse for a pecan log (They sell them at Cracker Barrel) She went on to run a few more... USATF Ultra Runner of the Year in 2005.

I hope people will let Rick H. know if they can help out with the Cadillac Mtn social run on Sunday. rick@spglass.com

Cadillac 10K

Thanks, Frank. Things are looking good. I have heard from several people who want to volunteer.

Remember: the temp at the the top of Cadillac is typically 10 degrees below the temp at the starting point, so send a jacket or sweatsuit to the top. Volunteer drivers will be there to drive folks down. It looks like we'll have temps in the 50s at the finish. Perfect running weather.

If we get enough volunteers, I may find a way to participate in this myself. (Well, SOMEone has to be last!)

Rick Hirte

I'll fight you for last

and I have a very strong feeling I'll win. Looks like Danson has to head to Molasses Pond in the morning so I'll have some company on my jog up the hill.

Bike

I biked to work and back, so ten miles. The huge break in between makes for interesting dressing predicaments. I had a t-shirt and jeans rolled up to my knees on the way, and then had a winter coat, gloves, jeans rolled down and wished I had a hat last night. And a headlamp. Still much more satisfying than driving.

That's awesome..

I think the Fuel Belt people gave us a refective vest/jacket to demo.

Nope

but there are other items to demo. One of those wristband pockets, pill dispenser, Mark's weartesting a fuel belt and Suzanne has a handheld water bottle. Another reason to show up at the track this season; I may ask you to use something and give me a review...

Ok..well, maybe the UPS guy liked it

I'll send Fuel Belt an email and see if they'll send us one. This is what they said would be in the demo kit:

a Helium 4 Belt; Sahara 22 oz. Palm Holder, Sprint 10 oz. Palm Holder; High Visibility Reflective Vest; Small Ripstop Pocket; Reflective Race Number Belt; Wrist Pocket, 2 Pill Dispensers, and a Timing Chip Band

New EL PR

7:59 pace, 46:49...first time sub 8 around the lake, and I plan to see a lot more of it.

8 miles total.

Congrats

on your new PR! Awesome!!!
